😻❤️ A BIG THANK YOU TO HATS NT! ❤️😻

A huge thank you to the wonderful team at HATS NT for welcoming us yesterday and giving our rescue meows the opportunity to meet some lovely potential adopters! 🥰

And we have some very exciting news to share...

Little Romi found his FOREVER HOME! 🏡❤️🎉

Just look at that gorgeous face! We're so happy this handsome little boy has found a family to call his very own.

A big thank you to everyone who popped by to say hello, spent time with our kitties and chatted with our volunteers. Your support means so much to our little rescue!

And of course, an extra special thank you to HATS NT for supporting rescue animals and helping us give our meows a chance at their happily ever after. ❤️

😻🥰 WHERE ARE THEY MEOW? 🥰😻

🐾 From TinTin to Paul! 🐾

Remember our handsome boy TinTin? Well, these days he goes by Paul, and he's clearly the king of his castle! 👑

Paul was adopted back in 2023, and at nearly 8 years young, he's living his best life with his loving family! 🥰

His mum Ashley shared this hilarious photo of Paul looking VERY unimpressed after she dared to get into HIS bed! 😂😹

That face says it all...

"Excuse me, human. I don't remember inviting you onto my bed!" 🙄🐾

We absolutely love seeing our former rescue meows happy, loved and ruling their households exactly as cats should!

A huge thank you to Ashley for giving Paul such a wonderful home and sharing this gorgeous update with us! 💕

Just a friendly reminder that our Adoption Day planned for today, Saturday 17 October, has been postponed.

We're sorry we won't get to see all your lovely faces today, but don't worry, our gorgeous Meows are still patiently waiting to find their forever families!

Most of our cats and kittens are enjoying life in their loving foster homes, and we're always happy to help organise individual meet-and-greets with their foster carers.

So if there's a special little Meow who's caught your eye, please don't hesitate to reach out! 🐱💕

🐾🌿 PROTECTING OUR CATS AND OUR WILDLIFE! 🦎🐦❤️

Here at A Safe Place for Meow, we absolutely adore our feline friends, but we also have a huge soft spot for the incredible wildlife we share our beautiful Northern Territory with! 🥰

That's why we're passionate advocates for keeping cats safely indoors or in secure outdoor enclosures and making sure cats are desexed. 🐱💚

These simple choices make a big difference!

🐾 Keeping cats contained helps protect our native birds, reptiles and small mammals, while also keeping our beloved Meows safe from roads, fights and other dangers.

🐾 Desexing cats helps prevent unwanted litters and reduces the number of cats and kittens living on the streets, where they can have a significant impact on our native wildlife.

🌿 And speaking of wildlife, we'd love to give a special shout-out to the wonderful team at Wild North Veterinary Hospital! 🌿

Located in Winnellie, Wild North is Darwin's dedicated exotic pet and wildlife hospital, providing specialised veterinary care for birds, reptiles, small mammals and our precious native wildlife. 🦜🦎🐢

Their team also provides care for injured wildlife, helping give these animals the best possible chance of recovery and returning to the wild. ❤️

We think the work they do is pretty amazing, and we're lucky to have such dedicated wildlife professionals here in Darwin!

💚 Because loving cats and protecting wildlife can absolutely go paw in paw! 🐾

ADOPTION DAY POSTPONED, BUT OUR MEOWS ARE STILL LOOKING FOR LOVE! ❤️

😻🥰 WHERE ARE THEY MEOW? – LUMI 🥰😻

Some foster cats have a sneaky way of making themselves permanent… and Lumi is one of them! ❤️

When Lumi’s foster family first heard she had ringworm, they were a little hesitant. But from the moment she stepped into their lives, she quickly became such a big part of the family that there was no letting her go. 🥹

Lumi was originally found in a shed after giving birth to her babies. These days, she’s living the life of the queen she was always meant to be! 👑

Her daily schedule is very demanding… brushing, eating sashimi, snacking, stretching and napping in the sunshine. 😹☀️ She’s also incredibly kind and welcoming to every human and furry friend who comes into her home.

From a mum found in a shed to a very loved foster fail, we think Lumi has this forever-home thing figured out. 🥰

Happy forever, beautiful Lumi! 🤍🐾
