๐ŸŒฟ Learning Through Play ๐ŸŒฟ

Children learn best when they are free to explore, create and use their imaginations. Through sensory play and the use of natural materials such as sticks, mud and leaves, the children created their own exciting worlds and stories.

These open-ended experiences encourage creativity, curiosity, problem-solving and critical thinking. As the children share ideas and work together, they also develop their communication, social and fine-motor skills.

Every touch, discovery and imaginative idea is an important part of their learning journey! ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿš—

๐Ÿ๐ŸŒฟ World Snake Day at Farrar ELC! ๐ŸŒฟ๐ŸŠ

What an incredible day of hands-on learning as we celebrated World Snake Day with our wonderful friends from Animal Encounters!

Our children had the exciting opportunity to meet and safely interact with a variety of amazing Australian reptiles, including snakes, lizards, and a baby saltwater crocodile. They loved gently touching the animals, asking lots of thoughtful questions, and learning fascinating facts about their habitats, behaviours, and the important role they play in our environment.

Experiences like these help children build confidence, develop respect for wildlife, and encourage curiosity through real-life, interactive learning. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces as our little explorers stepped outside their comfort zones and discovered just how amazing these creatures really are.

A huge thank you to Animal Encounters for providing such an engaging, educational, and memorable experience for our children. ๐Ÿ’š

๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ’• Friendship, imagination and a love for reading! ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ“š

Thereโ€™s something truly special about watching friendships grow through shared stories and imaginative play. Our little learners created their own cosy reading space, exploring books together, sharing ideas, and engaging in meaningful role play.

As they turned each page, they were building early literacy skills, expanding their vocabulary, developing communication, and strengthening their social connections. Through role play and storytelling, children learn to express themselves, solve problems, and see the world through different perspectives.

Moments like these remind us that some of the best learning happens when children are free to imagine, connect, and discover together. ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ“–โœจ

This week, our children had the wonderful opportunity to create and explore using natural paint lovingly prepared by Yulara , one of our educators and a proud Aboriginal woman.

Using natural materials, Yulara shared her knowledge and culture with the children, encouraging them to connect with Country through creativity, storytelling, and sensory exploration. Experiences like these help foster respect, curiosity, and an appreciation for the history and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

At Farrar Early Learning Centre, we are proud to celebrate NAIDOC Week by providing meaningful, hands-on learning experiences.

A big thank you to Yulara for sharing her culture, knowledge, and passion with our children. โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ–ค

๐ŸŒฟ Friendship is one of the most beautiful parts of early childhood. Through play, children learn how to share, communicate, take turns, and support one another.

Moments like these remind us that learning happens not only through activities, but also through relationships. As children work together, solve problems, and explore side by side, they develop important social and emotional skills that will stay with them for life.

By sharing, cooperating, and growing together, children build confidence, empathy, and a sense of belonging within their community. These everyday interactions help create strong friendships and lay the foundations for lifelong learning.

At Farrar Early Learning Centre, we celebrate these special moments of connection, kindness, and teamwork every day. ๐Ÿ’›

At Child Australia, keeping your child safe is not just a promise; it's something we actively train for every single day. ๐Ÿ”’

Our educators don't just care for your child. They are trained to protect them through our own child safety initiative, ๐—ฆ๐—ฒ๐—ฒ ๐—œ๐˜. ๐—ฆ๐˜๐—ผ๐—ฝ ๐—œ๐˜. ๐—ฆ๐—ฎ๐˜† ๐—œ๐˜.

Protecting every child, every day... together.

At Child Australia, we use a simple shared language for child safety - *See it. Stop it. Say it.*

Drawing on best practice and evidence-based research, we developed our own initiative *See it. Stop it. Say it.* and we're rolling it out across every service we operate.

It's the standard we hold our educators to. And it's how we invite you in.

๐Ÿ‘€ ๐—ฆ๐—ฒ๐—ฒ ๐—ถ๐˜. - Our educators are trained to notice the small things, body language, a shift in mood, an interaction that doesn't quite sit right. We use an Adult Behaviour Traffic Light Framework that names what's safe, what's concerning, and what's harmful โ€” including the boundary-blurring behaviours that often go unspoken in our sector.

๐Ÿคš ๐—ฆ๐˜๐—ผ๐—ฝ ๐—ถ๐˜. - When something doesn't fit our standard, we interrupt early. Quietly. Firmly. Before it becomes a problem.

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ ๐—ฆ๐—ฎ๐˜† ๐—ถ๐˜. - We have clear escalation pathways to service leaders, to Compliance Leaders, to Senior Leaders, and where required, directly to the Regulatory Authority. Raising a concern in good faith isn't just permitted at Child Australia. It's expected, supported, and protected.

You know your child better than anyone. If something doesn't seem right in your child's mood, in our service, in interactions you observe, it matters to us. Please talk to your Service Leader or email us at [email protected]

We will listen, we will act and we will follow up with you.

This is how we build safety together. ๐Ÿ’™

๐ŸŒบ ANZAC Day Breakfast To Go ๐ŸŒบ

This morning we had the pleasure of welcoming our families with a special ANZAC Day breakfast to go โค๏ธ

With freshly baked croissants, yoghurt cups with berries, and refreshing drinks, it was a small way for us to come together, reflect, and show appreciation for our wonderful community.

On this important day of remembrance, we are grateful for the opportunity to share these moments with our families and children.

Lest we forget.
