At Child Australia, keeping your child safe is not just a promise; it's something we actively train for every single day. ๐Ÿ”’

Our educators don't just care for your child. They are trained to protect them through our own child safety initiative, ๐—ฆ๐—ฒ๐—ฒ ๐—œ๐˜. ๐—ฆ๐˜๐—ผ๐—ฝ ๐—œ๐˜. ๐—ฆ๐—ฎ๐˜† ๐—œ๐˜.

Protecting every child, every day... together.

At Child Australia, we use a simple shared language for child safety - *See it. Stop it. Say it.*

Drawing on best practice and evidence-based research, we developed our own initiative *See it. Stop it. Say it.* and we're rolling it out across every service we operate.

It's the standard we hold our educators to. And it's how we invite you in.

๐Ÿ‘€ ๐—ฆ๐—ฒ๐—ฒ ๐—ถ๐˜. - Our educators are trained to notice the small things, body language, a shift in mood, an interaction that doesn't quite sit right. We use an Adult Behaviour Traffic Light Framework that names what's safe, what's concerning, and what's harmful โ€” including the boundary-blurring behaviours that often go unspoken in our sector.

๐Ÿคš ๐—ฆ๐˜๐—ผ๐—ฝ ๐—ถ๐˜. - When something doesn't fit our standard, we interrupt early. Quietly. Firmly. Before it becomes a problem.

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ ๐—ฆ๐—ฎ๐˜† ๐—ถ๐˜. - We have clear escalation pathways to service leaders, to Compliance Leaders, to Senior Leaders, and where required, directly to the Regulatory Authority. Raising a concern in good faith isn't just permitted at Child Australia. It's expected, supported, and protected.

You know your child better than anyone. If something doesn't seem right in your child's mood, in our service, in interactions you observe, it matters to us. Please talk to your Service Leader or email us at [email protected]

We will listen, we will act and we will follow up with you.

This is how we build safety together. ๐Ÿ’™

๐ŸŒบ ANZAC Day Breakfast To Go ๐ŸŒบ

This morning we had the pleasure of welcoming our families with a special ANZAC Day breakfast to go โค๏ธ

With freshly baked croissants, yoghurt cups with berries, and refreshing drinks, it was a small way for us to come together, reflect, and show appreciation for our wonderful community.

On this important day of remembrance, we are grateful for the opportunity to share these moments with our families and children.

Lest we forget.

๐ŸŠ Park & Wildlife Visit โ€“ Learning to Be Croc Safe! ๐ŸŠ

Today at Farrar Early Learning Centre, our pre-school children had a very special visit from a ranger from Park & Wildlife!

The children gathered together for an engaging group experience where they learned all about crocodiles and how to stay safe around water in the Northern Territory. The ranger shared important โ€œBe Croc Wiseโ€ messages in a fun and interactive way that really captured the childrenโ€™s attention.

One of the highlights was seeing a real crocodile skeleton, which sparked lots of curiosity, questions, and excitement! The children were fascinated as they explored the different parts of the crocodile and learned more about these incredible animals.

Experiences like this help build childrenโ€™s awareness of their environment while supporting their confidence, listening skills, and understanding of safety in our community.

Thank you to Park & Wildlife for such an informative and memorable visit! ๐ŸŠโœจ

๐Ÿ Patchwork Pineapple Activity โ€“ Learning Through Play! ๐Ÿ

The children engaged in a creative patchwork pineapple activity, using small pieces of coloured paper to fill the shape of a pineapple. This hands-on experience provides many valuable learning opportunities while supporting childrenโ€™s development.

๐Ÿ–๏ธ Developing Fine Motor Skills
Picking up and placing the small paper pieces strengthens the childrenโ€™s finger muscles and improves handโ€“eye coordination. These fine motor skills are important foundations for tasks such as drawing, writing, and everyday self-help skills like dressing.

๐Ÿง  Problem Solving and Thinking Skills
While completing their pineapples, the children explored where to place each piece, how to cover the shape, and how to make their artwork complete. Activities like this encourage independent thinking, decision-making, and early problem-solving skills.

๐Ÿ‘ซ Social Learning
Working together around the table allows children to share materials, observe each otherโ€™s ideas, and interact with their peers. Collaborative experiences support the development of communication, patience, and positive social relationships.

Creative experiences like this support children to express themselves while building important skills that contribute to their overall learning and development. ๐ŸŒŸ

๐Ÿš€ Exploring, Imagining and Learning Through Play

Our Preschool Program encourages children to explore their creativity and imagination every day. Through engaging learning environments such as dramatic play, pretend spaceships, supermarkets and home corners, children develop important social skills, communication and confidence while interacting with their peers.

Imaginative play allows children to step into different roles, solve problems together and express their ideas freely. These experiences support early literacy, language development and understanding of everyday life, as children recreate familiar situations such as shopping, cooking or even travelling to space.

Our preschool environment is designed to nurture creativity, fantasy, collaboration and independence, helping children build the foundations for lifelong learning.

โœจ We currently have availability in our Preschool Program on Thursday and Friday.
If you would like to learn more about our program or book a tour, please contact the centre.

๐Ÿ’ง Sensory Exploration in Action! ๐Ÿ’™

The children are enjoying a wonderful sensory water experience, exploring coloured water with cups and containers while working together around the tub. Activities like this provide valuable opportunities for children to observe, pour, scoop and experiment in a fun and engaging way.

Sensory experiences play an important role in early childhood development. They support children to:
โœจ Develop fine motor skills through pouring and scooping
โœจ Explore cause and effect while experimenting with water
โœจ Build language and communication through shared play and conversations
โœจ Encourage curiosity, cooperation and problem-solving with peers

It is lovely to see the children so engaged as they explore, observe and learn from each other. Through simple but meaningful experiences like this, children are able to discover, experiment and learn through play.
