This Refugee Week, we thank our supporters for standing in solidarity with people forced to flee their homes.

In this video, produced by our Xavier Network partner Entreculturas, Bianca from JRS Romania shares an update on the emergency response supporting Ukrainian refugees through both immediate assistance and long term accompaniment.

Your generosity has helped make this coordinated global response possible, bringing Jesuit organisations together to support people as they rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.

The Xavier Network is an international mission and development partnership between Jesuit organisations working in faith to promote justice.

Not for herself, but for them.

She wakes at 5am every morning.
Not for herself. But for her family.

Her name is Bhagya. She’s 18 years old, and she lives in southern India. Every day, she cooks for 40 girls at a student hostel, attends tailoring classes, and cares for her grandmother, her brother and three little sisters.

Her dream? To build a proper house for her family. To see her sisters through school. To find her place in society – with dignity.

This year marks 75 years since Australian Jesuits first travelled to India to walk alongside communities like Bhagya’s.

This special anniversary video celebrates 75 years of solidarity, partnership, and hope.

For generations, Jesuit Mission has stood alongside communities experiencing poverty and marginalisation around the world. None of this would have been possible without you.

Your generosity empowers our project partners to create opportunities, strengthen communities, and build an inclusive and just world where humanity flourishes.

This anniversary is as much your milestone as it is ours. Thank you for being part of the journey. ❤️

At the Jesuit cemetery in Hazaribag, Fr Amit Toppo SJ, Hazaribag Province Development Director, shares memories of the late Fr Geoff Meagher SJ, the Australian Jesuit missionary who served in India for 54 years and contributed to the rich legacy of 75 years of Jesuit mission.

Arriving in Hazaribag in 1966, Fr Geoff served in a variety of education, formation and vocation roles, inspiring generations of young people. For Fr Amit, he was "one of the great examples of an ideal role model for young people" who was full of life, full of fun and completely dedicated to others.

Thank you to everyone who joined us on Sunday to celebrate Jesuit Mission's 75th Anniversary.

With more than 200 members of the Jesuit Mission family gathered together, it was a day filled with joy, gratitude and connection as we honoured our history, celebrated our partnerships, and looked ahead with hope.

As CEO Helen Forde reflected, 75 years ago Australian Jesuits arrived in Hazaribag "not as experts, but as companions", walking alongside communities and working together to build a more just future.

Fr Steve Curtin SJ reminded us that "the torch they carried is in our hands."

Thank you for being part of our story!

“I did not want to be a soldier. I do not want to fight anyone.”

When armed groups tried to recruit Sai in Myanmar, he made the difficult decision to flee across the border to Thailand alone, leaving his family behind in search of safety.

More than 20 years later, Sai is helping shape the future of his community through education. Working with our partner, Jesuit Refugee Service Asia Pacific, Sai now supports education programs reaching more than 3,000 students in refugee camps and border communities.

Despite conflict, displacement and uncertainty, Sai remains committed to ensuring the next generation has the opportunity to learn, grow and create change.

This National Reconciliation Week, we honour the strength, resilience, and culture of First Nations peoples. This year's theme 'All In' calls on all Australians to step away from the sidelines and commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation every day.

Every year, we’re honoured to welcome students from Redfern Jarjum College to the Jesuit Mission Bazaar at Saint Ignatius' College Riverview where they share stories through dance, movement, and culture with incredible pride and energy.

Their presence is always a powerful expression of community, connection, and reconciliation.

This National Volunteer Week, we celebrate the volunteers who are the backbone of Jesuit Mission. ❤️

From the Jesuit Mission Bazaar and Maytime Fair to Golf Day, our beloved Stampies and so much more, our volunteers bring every event to life with generosity, compassion and community spirit.

Inspired by St Ignatius’ call to walk with those on the margins, they are truly people for and with others. Thank you!
