The approval of amendments to the WHO Global Code on the International Recruitment of Health Personnel signals growing international recognition that health worker migration is a shared global responsibility. For the Philippines, one of the world's leading sources of nurses and health professionals, this presents an opportunity to strengthen the link between international recruitment and domestic health system development.
