A poem from one of our followers: The sun, the sun, made for fun
How I loved to feel its warm rays
Upon my face , my arms, my back
But alas now it is my body that pays.

It pays in many different ways
for the lack of care in my younger days.
For forgotten sunscreen upon my face,
No hat upon my head I placed.

No slip, slop, slap in my day to follow.
And now years later it is to my sorrow,
I pay the price for that carefree time.
As looking at my skin I see the sign
Of sun damage, all over me.
It is not a pretty sight to see.

What looked good when I was young,
tan bronzed body from the sun
Is now wrinkled and covered with spots
Keratosis, BCC’s, SCC’s I’ve had the lot.
So heed my warning and take care
if you don’t want to look like a withered pear
Follow the sun safe rules that you see
And then if you’re careful you won’t end up like me.
