Kinfish Connect Adventure ✅

Jess and her family were part of the 80+ ADF members, veterans and their families who jumped onboard a Moonshadow Cruises whale watching cruise last weekend.

While we’re sure sleep was on the agenda for the littlest member of Jess’ family, it was certainly a lovely afternoon spent together spotting whales.

Day 3 of our long weekend whale watching adventures with Moonshadow-TQC

We’ve currently had over 80 ADF members, veterans and their family members booked in!

Today, Paula enjoyed a Kinfish Connect experience with her husband.

When Paula reached out to us, she chose not to share the personal challenges she is currently facing. It was only after the experience that she shared she is undergoing treatment for advanced cancer and recovering from a number of serious injuries.

Paula said: “For a few precious hours, I was able to forget about hospitals, treatment and injuries and simply enjoy the beauty of nature.”

She told us that the day “made a difference” and that seeing the whales breach while learning from the onboard commentary was “an unforgettable experience”.

It’s humbling to be able to give a little back to Paula. She dedicated so much to the community being founder and advocate of ‘ ’.

Today, Erica and her family enjoyed a Kinfish Connect experience before posting to Darwin later this year.

Erica said: “Thank you for the incredible opportunity! It was an amazing experience 😍
We are due to be posted out to Darwin at the end of the year after being posted in Williamstown for 11 years. We have always wanted to do Whale watching as a family and Kinfish has given us this opportunity. Thank you so much. We have these memories forever 💗

Kinfish Connect adventure ✅

A big achievement for us today - our first of over 50 ADF members, veterans and families with Kinfish Connect whale watching trips this long weekend aboard Moonshadow-TQC.

Erin and her family had an adventure spotting whales, so much so her 3yo drew pictures of a boat, whales and fish before bed. Erin reached out just 2.5hrs prior to her and her family being on the water.

A Lake Mac adventure! 🎣

Sarah, her family and crew had an action packed adventure with our very generous donor Mark who took the team out for an explore of Lake Macquarie.

The boys selected their fishing gear, got some tips and headed seaward. Fish were caught and everyone had a ball out swimming and catching some sun ☀️.

Newly posted from Townsville this year, Sarah said “we all had such a fantastic time and did not stop laughing and smiling”.

Another fantastic day for a local Defence family out with our friends at Moonshadow - TQC Cruises

The resident dolphins made their regular appearance and it was a great opportunity to spend some together as a family.
