Join Our Board! We’re looking for another awesome individual to join our Board – could this be you?

We are currently seeking one new board member to help steer the direction of our future work in a volunteer capacity. A not-for-profit public company limited by guarantee, board members are asked to give general oversight to our activities. While not involved in the day-to-day running of our company, your input as a board member is essential to forward planning, future visioning, and organisational oversight.
We are looking for enthusiastic support to take us into the next phase of our evolution. So if you love the performing arts and feel called to help the small to medium arts sector succeed and further develop in Australia– we would love to hear from you!

Being located in Newcastle, NSW, or even Australia is not a requirement – we have regular meetings every 4 to 6 weeks, via videolink and cloud collaboration. Applications from people with indigenous, culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds are strongly encouraged, as we are aiming for diverse perspectives on the board.

Ahoy Mackay! Keen to join the pod and help us bring our show "Whale Song Reimagined" to life at Daly Bay Illuminate? We’re looking for enthusiastic local vollies to join our crew!
If you're reliable, comfortable around crowds and enjoy being part of a team, we'd love to hear from you! Ages 12+ welcome. Volunteers 18+ will need Working with Children clearance.

MACKAY – PERFORMER CALL OUT

Our whales are migrating up to Queensland for Daly Bay Illuminate, and we are still looking for local performers to join us for "Whale Song Reimagined".
Meet Briney Pickle Whorl (the latest addition to our whale family, pictured here) and Bernie, our giant humpback whale, and help us bring this show to life!
Ideally, you have experience in physical theatre or puppetry - but while prior experience is preferred, it is not essential: we will provide training where required.

PORT MACQUARIE PERFORMER / VOLUNTEER CALL OUT

With Port Mac Artwalk fast approaching we still have opportunities for performing artists (paid) and volunteers to join our team in bringing to life the story of Nova (pictured) and her new giant friend Zephyr. Experience working with young people, in addition to drama, physical theatre/dance, and/or puppetry ideal. On the ground training and rehearsal on the day.

We absolutely loved being back at beautiful NarraBright ✨🔥

This year we brought along Nova, our Fire Spirit, and ran our SPARK lantern making workshops, filling the town with glowing handmade creations and tiny flickers of light - while encountering elves, LED robots, and other curious creatures along the way!

Hopefully we will see you out there again next year 💛
