Our Mooloolaba SLSC was established in 1922 and has grown to become one of the premier Surf Lifesaving Clubs in Australia. Our members volunteer to patrol our beach e

very weekend and on public holidays from the September school holidays until the last weekend in April. Lifeguards patrol the beach at all other times, with the beach patrolled 7 days a week, all year. Patrol hours are from 7.00am to 5.00pm, with extended hours until 6.00pm throughout the busy Christmas period.

Introducing our final speaker!

Former world champion surfer AKA Parko will be joining the lineup for our upcoming Annual Sports Lunch Fundraiser! ๐ŸŒŠ

Joel Parkinson was born and raised on the waves of Nambour, Queensland and began competing on the junior surfing circuit as a youngster, eventually capturing the ASP World Junior Championship and becoming the youngest surfer to win a Billabong contest.
Since turning pro he has been one of the top competitors on the Association of Surfing Professional (ASP) World Championship Tour (WCT). Over the course of his decorated career he has won eleven elite ASP tour contests including the Pipeline Masters in 2012. That same year he captured the ASP WCT World Tour title after finishing as the runner-up in 2002, 2004, 2009 and 2011.

Mooloolaba Surf Life Saving Club proudly acknowledges that our member, Mr John 'Joe' Ellis Western AM, has formally received his Order of Australia honour in recognition of his significant service to surf lifesaving.

Mr Western was among more than 140 Queenslanders recognised at the recent Investiture Ceremonies at Government House, celebrating outstanding contributions across a wide range of fields and communities.

This prestigious honour reflects a lifetime of dedication and service to surf lifesaving and the broader community.

Congratulations Joe, on this well-deserved recognition.

Racing legend AKA pumper will be joining the lineup for our upcoming Annual Sports Lunch Fundraiser! ๐Ÿ‰

A retired New Zealand jockey, Jimโ€™s remarkable career has seen him recognised in both the Australian and New Zealand Racing Halls of Fame. Winning the Australian Derby three times: in 1990, 1993 and 2009. He is only the third jockey to win 100 Group One races, famously securing his 100th victory aboard Zoustar in the 2013 Coolmore Stud Stakes.
