Jodi-Ann is an author, international speaker, animal communicator and Reiki practitioner who spent more than three decades as a teacher and educator. Following a rare cancer diagnosis in 2009 and a profound near-death experience, her understanding of life, intuition and connection was transformed. Today, she combines her lifelong love of animals with a passion for helping others feel seen, heard and understood.

Chapter: The Souls That Choose Us

“Healing Hearts, Connecting Souls”

As a five-year-old girl, I never questioned that the animals around me could communicate with me.I spoke to them, shared my thoughts and somehow… I intuitively knew they understood. They were listening.

Then life taught me to doubt the things I could feel, and slowly, I stopped listening to the souls who had always been part of my life. I quietly packed that knowledge, that connection and that intuition away in a box — because that’s what we’ve been taught to do.

Years later, through my own health crisis and an extraordinary Near Death Experience that changed the way I looked at all of life, I began to remember what I had always known.

The greatest lesson animals have ever taught me is this:

Listening is an act of love.

My intuition grows stronger when I trust it.

And animals really can communicate with us and teach us.

In fact… they have a lot to say.

“Every animal has an individual story, as unique as their voice and personality. Their soul is here to teach us something.

The encounters we share with them are invitations to remember that love, intuition and connection never truly leave us. As adults, we simply need to surrender to them, trust them… and listen.”
