The family is hurting, the community is hurting and firefighters are hurting.

All firefighters want to do is help their community to the best of their ability but we can't when FRV management and Government won't give us the proper tools and funding to do our best for the public.

This situation is just tragic for all involved. It's just not fair.

FRV management and media spin department have been caught covering up a fatal failure.

Monday evening, FRV claimed FRV firefighers were on scene to this tragic fire within 3 minutes.

Not true!!!!! Spin and miss truth from FRV

FRV later changed their story and told the truth. It was over 9 minutes.

This is a tragic situation that may have been avoided if there was appropriate staffing and trucks available to respond.

The United Firefighters Union says the only fire truck at the nearest station had already been called to a job, leading to a delayed response to a fire that killed a three-year-old boy.

The Victorian Govenment, under the leadership of Jacinta Allan and Jaclyn Symes have doubled the fire service levy, earning over 5 billion dollars a year and sending many farmers and businesses to the wall.

Where has the money gone. Not to the fire services. Both FRV and CFA have many trucks that are over 30 years old and no proper fleet replacement program exists.

We say it’s time to put the money collected for fire services back into the fire services and not into massive budget shortfall due to public money miss management.

This is the face of lies and spin from a person who puts public safety last and his his pay packet and overseas travel first.

Commissioner Gavin freeman has presided over the near destruction of FRV fire appliances in his short tenure.

If this fire service is so modern, how is it that firefighters are still using Melways to direct to themselves to a fire. FRV have "paused the 4th version of the Mobile Data Terminal in project in 20 years due to "funding" yet again.

Police and Ambulance have MDT,s, CFA have MDT,s, Dominos pizza have MDT,s, Uber has MDT,s Taxis have MDT,s. But not the "Modern fire and rescue service called FRV"

This failed commissioner should be sacked for a complete dereliction of duties as FRV Commissioner.

Money spent on FRV budget, cut 100million dollars.

How can this be acceptable. Lara fire station is now unavailable to respond to fires or hazardous materials incidents. Jacinta Allan and Symes are completely out of control. They are putting public lives at risk every day.
