Where were they going? That was the mystery!

Our Southeast community clients recently set off on a Mystery Bus Tour through the beautiful Dandenong Ranges, enjoying a day full of surprises, exploration and good company.

The adventure included a scavenger hunt through the hills, a relaxing morning tea, a delicious lunch and a sweet treat to take home. 🍰🌿

Most importantly, it was a wonderful opportunity to connect, share a laugh and create new memories together.

Who says the journey isn't just as exciting as the destination? 😊

Residents from Delahey recently took a guided tour of H Division at Pentridge Prison Tours, gaining a fascinating insight into the harsh conditions prisoners once experienced and the history behind one of Victoria's most significant prison sites.

The group explored the prison's cells and corridors, learning about life inside and the stories of those who spent time there.

A thought-provoking day filled with history, learning and plenty of discussion.

History, high tea and great company.

Residents recently enjoyed a special day out in Melbourne, starting with a guided visit to the Old Treasury Building, where they explored stories from the Victorian Gold Rush, early settlement and the rich history and culture of Australia's First Nations peoples.

The afternoon continued in style with a traditional high tea at the iconic Hotel Windsor, complete with finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones, sweet treats and plenty of tea. 🍰🫖

Filled with laughter, conversation and new discoveries, it was a day of learning, connection and creating memories together.

🔥 Nothing brings people together like a good BBQ.

At Port Melbourne, the monthly community BBQ has become a much-loved tradition that residents look forward to every month.

It's a true team effort with the site Food Services team preparing the meal alongside residents, while the Recreation team helps create the perfect space to relax, connect and enjoy good company. 🌭☀️

Sometimes it's the simple things that mean the most: sharing a meal, having a chat, and spending time with friends.

🧹✨ Many hands, one great result.

Residents and staff at Delahey recently came together for a community working bee, transforming shared spaces both indoors and out.

From cleaning furniture and kitchen areas to reorganising the bookshelf, refreshing the op shop and tidying the grounds, everyone pitched in to help keep the site looking its best. 🌿

The day finished with a well-earned sausage sizzle, expertly cooked by Hector, and plenty of smiles all around. 🌭👏

“A huge thank you to everyone who contributed their time and effort. It's these moments of teamwork, pride and community spirit that help make Delahey a place residents are proud to call home”, added Recreation Coordinator Nicole.

🌴☀️ Sun, smiles and plenty of unforgettable memories.

Residents from four Wintringham homes recently packed their bags for a holiday on the Gold Coast, enjoying a well-earned break filled with adventure, friendship and fun.

Bryan and Kearin from McLean Lodge (Flemington), Daniel, Morgan and Derrin from Port Melbourne, Lyndsay from Williamstown, and Henry from Gilgunya (Coburg) spent their days exploring local attractions, soaking up the sunshine and visiting Surfers Paradise. Along the way, new friendships were formed and special moments shared.

The trip also included some meaningful reunions. Bryan caught up with family, while Daniel revisited the neighbourhood where he once lived and reconnected with a long-time friend. ❤️

Making the holiday possible was a true team effort, with staff across Wintringham working together behind the scenes. During the trip, Recreation Coordinator Cara and Enrolled Nurses Jenny and Divi provided hands-on support, helping residents to travel safely and enjoy every moment.

Here's to new experiences, lasting memories and the joy of getting away. 🏖️✨

🏉🔥 Footy fever has well and truly arrived at McLean Lodge.

Residents recently came together for a Footy Fever BBQ to celebrate the upcoming AFL Grand Final, enjoying great food, plenty of football banter and a fantastic community atmosphere.

The occasion also saw the winners of the Footy Tipping competition announced, while an entertainer had everyone singing along to footy favourites, including the iconic, 'Up There Cazaly'. 🎶👏

With the biggest game of the season just around the corner, the excitement is building!

Recently, Wintringham CEO Jane Barnes attended the Delahey residents meeting to personally thank Gordon for his valuable contribution to the Quality Care Advisory Body (QCAB).

The QCAB brings together residents, clients and representatives to provide feedback and advice on the quality of care and services we deliver. Through his involvement, Gordon has shared important insights on tenancy and resident experience, helping ensure the voices of those we support remain at the centre of decision-making.

🐾 One bark for the home team. Two barks for the away team.

That was the winning formula for Pluto and his owner Anne, who have taken out first place in the Audrey Rainsford Footy Tipping competition after a season of clever canine decision-making. 🏆

When the tips were too close to call, Anne would even toss treats in different directions and let Pluto make the final choice. Safe to say, it worked!

With the AFL Final now underway, congratulations to Pluto, Anne and everyone at Audrey Rainsford who joined in the fun throughout the season. 🏉👏

A behind-the-scenes tour of 9 News gave our community clients a fascinating glimpse into the world of television. Guided by Kylie, they discovered how news and programs come to life, with plenty of laughs along the way.

The highlight? Mary and Graham stepped into the spotlight, taking their turn behind the news desk and proving they were ready for prime time. ⭐🎤

The day wrapped up with a hearty German-style lunch, rounding off a memorable outing filled with new experiences and great company.
