To celebrate Harmony Day - an initiative celebrating inclusion - our ambassador Jayden Hamilton's gorgeous cousin went to school handing out Bully Zero wristbands.

With her classmates, she shared our message of taking a stand against bullying, and being kind to everyone.

Honestly…how beautiful is that?!

It’s these small actions that help create positive change. And seeing young people lead the way? That’s the kind of ripple effect the world needs more of! 🖤🧡

With everything we’ve seen online lately, it felt like the right moment to share something uplifting.

This beautiful cover of You’re the Voice by John Farnham was created by our incredible ambassador Marshall Hamburger Music and his talented team.

Featuring the wonderful Sunshine Coast Youth Choir, The Hamburger Music Singers and Lauren Hewitt as the lead dancer.

We actually use this video in our Words Matter presentation to help young people explore the power their voices hold. Because words can harm. But they can also heal.

After all the conversations sparked by our recent MAFS post and the ongoing discussion about bullying playing out across our screens, we hope this gives you a few minutes of pause, to enjoy one of our most iconic Aussie songs delivered so powerfully by Marshall.

We hope it brings a little light to your scroll today

Last week’s dinner party episode of Married At First Sight Australia has left many viewers shocked and uncomfortable. And honestly? So are we.

What we witnessed wasn’t harmless drama. It was verbal abuse. Public humiliation. Group exclusion.

Calling someone “dumb.”Telling them to “get back in their kennel.”Forming cliques to isolate and intimidate. If this happened in a school playground, we would call it what it is: bullying.

When behaviour like this is broadcast in prime time on Nine Network, it sends a powerful message. And not a good one. Entertainment should never be a hall pass for cruelty.

We’ve been encouraged by the thousands of Australians speaking up online and refusing to accept this as “just drama.” That response shows a growing awareness of what bullying looks like and why it matters to call it out.

At Bully Zero, we believe media has influence. With that influence comes responsibility.

Young people are watching. Adults are watching. Culture is shaped by what we normalise.

We can create compelling television without sacrificing human dignity. Australia deserves better.

We’d love to hear from you! What are your thoughts on the recent episodes? Let’s keep this conversation respectful and focused on behaviour, NOT individuals. 👇

We are delighted to welcome Marshall Hamburger as a Bully Zero Ambassador!

Marshall’s incredible talent, kind heart, and quirky, unapologetic self is exactly the kind of energy we love.

In a world where people can be targeted for who they are or what they love, Marshall reminds us all that staying true to yourself is what really matters.

As the 2025 Australian Idol winner and a truly gifted singer-songwriter, Marshall is joining us to help spread the message that words matter and the most powerful thing you can be is yourself.

Let’s keep spreading kindness, one post at a time. And take it from Marshall: Be Yourself. Always. 🖤🧡

Today, we honour Allem.

February 5 marks the anniversary of Allem’s death. His story is the reason Bully Zero exists.

Words can wound.
Words can isolate.
Words can also protect, connect, and save lives.

At Bully Zero, we work every day to ensure people understand the impact of their words and actions online and offline. Through education, we empower people with the tools to prevent bullying. Through advocacy, we push for safer systems and stronger protections. Through support, we stand beside schools, families, and communities when harm occurs.

This video shares reflections from Allem’s father, Ali, and reminds us why this work matters.

Because what we say, type, and share carries weight.
Because silence can be as damaging as cruelty.
Because we have a responsibility to do better.
Words Matter.

Today, we pause.

Today, we remember Hamish Carter. 💚

Hamish was just 12 years old.

Twelve - an age full of curiosity, imagination and promise. An age when children should feel safe, protected, and free to be themselves.

Hamish was extraordinary.

Wise beyond his years, endlessly curious, and deeply kind. He loved ancient history, science, nature, and Star Wars. He read for hours, soaking up knowledge and joyfully sharing it with anyone who would listen. He created stories, painted, laughed easily, adored animals, and walked proudly alongside the family pugs he loved. He practised karate, always there to lend a hand to the younger kids and carried a gentle strength that shone through everything he did.

Above all, Hamish had a heart of gold.

Today, as we remember Hamish, we must also confront a hard truth:

Words hurt.
Actions hurt.
Silence hurts.

Bullying is not a rite of passage.

It is not harmless.

And it can leave wounds far deeper than we ever see.

At this time of year, when emotions run high and lives feel rushed, we ask everyone to pause and reflect on the impact of what we say, what we do, and what we allow. A comment. A joke. A moment of cruelty. A moment of inaction. Any of these can change a life forever.

We also honour Hamish’s mum, Jodie, whose courage in the face of unimaginable loss is extraordinary. She has chosen to turn her grief into purpose; to ensure no family ever feels this pain if it can be prevented.

In 2026, Jodie will join the Bully Zero team as a Special Guest Facilitator, sharing Hamish’s story and helping us reach more families with life-saving messages.

Hamish’s life mattered.

His story matters.

And what we do next matters.

Today, we remember Hamish. We hold him in our hearts.

And we recommit, with urgency and compassion, to creating a world where every child feels safe, valued, and never alone.

Because kindness isn’t optional.

And because Hamish was just 12.

💚

We write this post with heavy hearts following the horrific events that unfolded last night in Bondi.

Our thoughts are entirely with the families who are now facing unimaginable grief. We are deeply sorry for the 15 innocent lives taken and the people injured by this senseless violence.

We mourn with you. Your pain is our pain.

To the entire Bondi community, and to Australia as a whole, we send our unwavering support. We know that moments like these test the fabric of our society, but they also reveal the extraordinary courage within it.

We specifically want to acknowledge the bravery of bystanders like Ahmed el Ahmad and others who acted with selfless courage in the face of terror. Their actions reflect the best of us.

We stand together, unified against hatred, fear, and division. This horrific act does not reflect who we are as Australians - a people who believe fiercely in dignity, safety, and respect for every person and every community.

In the face of darkness, we choose to strengthen our resolve for kindness, support, and unity.
