🐾💕 MEET HERO & SLIM! 💕🐾

Two gorgeous boys, two big personalities and a whole lot of love to give! 🏡❤️

These beautiful boys were hand-raised from tiny neonates and have grown into confident, affectionate kittens who are now ready to find their forever families!

🐱 MEET HERO 🦸‍♂️

Hero is a playful, affectionate little goofball who will keep you entertained all day long!

One of his favourite things to do is carry his toys around the house, proudly dragging them from room to room before coming up with his next adventure. 😂

He’s curious, confident and loves being involved in absolutely everything!

When he’s finally worn himself out, Hero loves curling up close to his humans for a cuddle. He’s also famous for falling asleep in the most ridiculous positions, leaving you wondering how on earth he could possibly be comfortable!

Hero absolutely adores other cats and thrives on companionship. He would love to be adopted with one of his siblings or join a home with another playful, affectionate cat.

This confident, affectionate little man absolutely loves attention and being around his humans. He’s a social butterfly who will happily make himself part of your everyday life.

Whether it’s playtime, exploring or soaking up affection, Slim is always ready to be involved!

He’s currently in foster care, waiting for his very own family to fall in love with him. 🥹💕

🏡 COULD YOU GIVE ONE (OR BOTH!) OF THESE BOYS A FOREVER HOME?

Hero and Slim are siblings, so adopting them together would be a wonderful option! 💕

As with all our kittens, they must be adopted with another kitten or into a home with an existing young, playful, cat-friendly companion.

🐾 Indoor-only homes.
🐾 Meet and greets arranged after an approved application.
🐾 Loving, committed forever families required!

💜 Please share Hero and Slim! Every share helps our beautiful rescue babies find the homes they deserve.

🐾 Kitten season is here 🐾

With kitten season now upon us, we just wanted to remind our community about our intake process.

Enchanted Rescue is a foster-based rescue, which means the number of cats and kittens we can help depends entirely on the foster homes and resources we have available at the time.

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that we can take stray cats, kittens or owner surrenders.

However, depending on the circumstances and the space we have available, sometimes we may be able to help. Please reach out to us with as much information as possible and we can let you know what options may be available.

Even if we can’t take a cat or kittens into care, we’re always happy to offer advice and point you in the right direction where we can. 💕

🐱 Help us through kitten season

Kitten season means more mouths to feed, more vet visits, vaccinations, microchipping and desexing — and unfortunately, more cats and kittens needing rescue.

If you’d like to help us continue saying yes when we have the space, donations towards their care are always incredibly appreciated. 💜

🏦 Tax-Deductible Donations
Account Name: Enchanted Rescue
BSB: 013 017
Account Number: 160657191

Every donation, big or small, helps us care for the cats and kittens who come through Enchanted Rescue. 🐾💕

Please share — kitten season takes a whole community. ❤️

🐾 Meet Hera 🐾

Hera is a beautiful, gentle girl who just needs a little time and patience to show you how sweet she really is. 💕

She can be reserved at first, but once she feels safe, Hera is affectionate, loves her smooches and will even have a little chat with you. She loves hanging out up high on her cat towers, watching the world go by, and she definitely loves her food! 😂

🐱 Hera LOVES other cats and must have another friendly cat in her new home. Having a feline friend gives her confidence and helps bring out her playful side.

She would be happiest in a calm, patient home without young children, where she can settle in at her own pace.

🏡 Indoor-only
🐱 Must have another cat
💕 Gentle & affectionate once comfortable
🐾 Currently in foster care

Hera might not throw herself into your arms the first time you meet her, but give her the chance to trust you and you’ll have a beautiful little companion. ❤️

💕 GYPSY UPDATE 💕

Gypsy has just been discharged from the vets and is coming home with me. 🥺💕

What a difference a couple of days has made for this little girl.

When Gypsy was admitted on Monday, she had a temperature of nearly 40°C, wasn’t eating, had abdominal pain and was so uncomfortable that she had to be sedated just so the vets could properly examine her stomach — she was spicy as because she was hurting so much. 🥺

Today, she’s eating again, much brighter, very smoochy and happy, and well enough to finally leave hospital. 💕

Unfortunately, she’s still not out of the woods yet.

Her bloods have shown that she is incredibly anaemic. She most like needs surgery, but at the moment she is too weak to safely undergo it without a blood transfusion.
She is going to need a lot of TLC to get her through this.

Her bloods and ultrasound will be repeated on Friday and again Tuesday so we can see how she is progressing and work out our next steps.

For now though, we’re celebrating the little wins.

She’s alive. She’s eating. She’s happier. And tonight she gets to come home and be loved. 💕🐾

Thank you to Broadford Vet for everything they’ve done over the last 72 hours.
Keep fighting, Gypsy girl. 🥺💕

💔 New intakes are always hard.

When a cat comes into care, we often don’t know their full medical history — even when they’ve been surrendered.

Gypsy arrived at the Haven last weekend as we had no time to get them into foster and was desexed the following day. Her surgery went well, but today we noticed she was struggling to wee.

There had been some mucus in the litter tray, but because Gypsy came in with other cats from the same home who are currently housed together, it was impossible to know who it had come from.

We already knew Gypsy was extremely underweight, and she hadn’t been eating much. A reduced appetite can sometimes happen when cats are adjusting to a completely new environment, but combined with her urinary issues today, we knew she needed to be checked.

One of our wonderful volunteers took her straight to the vet. ❤️‍🩹

Gypsy has a temperature of 39°C, abdominal pain and a body condition score of just 1/10. She needs to stay in hospital overnight on fluids, have blood tests and further investigations to work out exactly what is going on.

An overnight hospital stay like this is incredibly costly — roughly the equivalent of THREE WEEKS of food for the Haven.

Gypsy is the sweetest girl and she’s worth fighting for.

And sadly, Gypsy isn’t an isolated case.

So many cats arrive in our care sick, malnourished, desperately needing dentals, or requiring medical treatment and surgeries we simply couldn’t have predicted. We don’t get to choose when these bills arrive — we just have to make sure the cats get the care they need.

Please keep beautiful Gypsy in your thoughts tonight. 💕 At this stage, she may be fighting some form of infection, but hopefully we will have more answers tomorrow.

If you would like to help us cover Gypsy’s hospital stay and the ongoing veterinary care of the cats at Ingrid’s Haven, donations through our ongoing fundraiser are tax deductible:
