🌧️ KRWT parkrun – Event #170 🌧️

A little damp weather certainly wasn’t enough to keep the KRWT crew away this morning! 🙌

We had 55 participants run, jog and walk their way around the Kilmore Racecourse Walking Trail, along with a few enthusiastic barkwalkers 🐶🐾 enjoying the conditions too!

A huge kudos to Derryn, who celebrated his 100th parkrun event today! 💯🎉 An awesome milestone and a fantastic achievement, congratulations, Derryn and a Kilmore PB too 👏👊

As always, a massive thank you to our wonderful volunteer team 💜 for making Event #170 possible, particularly on a damp and moist morning. Ben our RD gave a rousing brief and reminded everyone that we don’t just run each week without the help of volunteers.

parkrun is a free, weekly, timed event, yes FREE! You can’t get a free running bargain like this anywhere. So remember put your hand up to volunteer once in a while…thanks.

A magnificent morning for some great participation out on the Community Bank Walking Trail today for Event 169.

Please note that all places moved by a spot due to the time keeper hitting the time button at 2 seconds 🙄 - well done to me!

Welcome to our first timers, visiting us as tourists - Anthony (Lalor), Tyler & Keenan (Gungahlin), Susan (Forster), Virginia, Darryl, Carolyn& Stephen (Jells) Kathryn & Pete (Sunbury).

A special parkrun welcome to Lolly, joining us at Kilmore for their first parkrun - we look forward to sending you again soon.

We had 8 PBs out there today, congratulations to Ryder, Tyler, William, Kaysey, Elena, Joelie, Maxine and Jason who all pushed themselves in meeting their person goals - well done!!

As always, À massive shout out to the all important vollies, without who we would not have an event - Amy, Marnie, Fin, Jill, Russell, Phil, Angus, John, Jolanda, Michelle, Quentin, Nick and Ben - awesome work team.

Remember there are always volunteer spots to fill and there are lots that can still let you get in a run - not sure about a job and want to know more...pop in a comment and we will get you some details.

If anyone is keen to step into an event or fun direct role we'd love to hear from you as our amazing cofounder Nick all be leaving us in Dec to move interstate - these roles are not as complex or demanding as the sound....and you can even outsource ghe public speaking if that's the bit you worried about...

If there is a socials guru out there who wants to assist with roster management, reports or rev ups we would also love to hear from you...then you won't get post like this 🤔😳👍

🏃‍♀️🏃 KRWT parkrun, Event 168, 22/8 🌳

Another great Saturday morning at Kilmore Racecourse Walking Track, with 68 participants joining us for their weekly 5km! 🙌

We also had a few enthusiastic barkwalkers 🐶🐾 out on the course, as well as some visitors from Coogee Run Club, thanks for making KRWT part of your parkrun travels and also for volunteering, doing the event day course check👋

A special shout out to first time visitor Jordan, who chose KRWT to complete his 25th parkrun milestone! 💜🎉 Congratulations, what a great way to mark number 25, finishing first in a very quick walking trail time of 19:12! Also to Donovan, Derryn, Sean, Ryan, Jack, Suzie and Kate.
