We are delighted to welcome Adyva Hadian and Belinda Golledge to the Snowdome team.

Adyva joins Snowdome as Marketing & Communications Coordinator. With experience across marketing, communications and content creation, she brings a strong passion for engaging audiences and sharing meaningful stories. Adyva is currently undertaking a Master of Marketing and holds a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Biomedicine, including a focus on immunology. Her unique combination of marketing expertise and biomedical knowledge enables her to translate complex research into clear, compelling stories that highlight the impact of research and the hope it brings to blood cancer patients and their families.

Belinda joins as Executive Assistant and brings more than a decade of experience supporting senior leaders across multiple sectors, including corporate and healthcare. She offers a wealth of expertise in executive administration, stakeholder coordination and office management, helping to support Snowdome’s mission through her professionalism, organisational skills and positive approach.

Adyva and Belinda are both passionate about using their skills and experience to support Snowdome’s mission of making hope real for Australian blood cancer patients and their families.

This National Science Week, we’re celebrating the researchers whose ideas have the potential to transform patient outcomes. We’re proud to spotlight Dr Muhammed B Sabdia, a recipient of the Gunn Family Haematology Fellowship and a post-doctoral researcher at Mater Research.

Muhammed’s research, Personalised immunotherapy for the treatment of light chain (AL) Amyloidosis, investigates how mRNA technology could be used to develop a personalised vaccine for people living with AL Amyloidosis.

“I am very excited about the translational potential of this project and what that could mean for patients with AL Amyloidosis, as well continuing to work closely with Snowdome ... hopefully delivering many more exciting milestones in the years ahead.” – Dr Muhammed B Sabdia

His work highlights the power of innovative thinking and the importance of supporting emerging researchers to pursue bold ideas with the potential to improve lives.

Through the Gunn Family Haematology Fellowship, Snowdome is proud to back researchers working towards better treatments and brighter futures for patients and families affected by blood cancers and related diseases. All of us at Snowdome are deeply saddened by the sudden passing of our Honorary Patron, Sir Sam Neill.

Beloved actor, passionate advocate and treasured member of our community, Sam used his voice to support people living with blood cancer and helped shine a light on the urgent need for better treatments and research.

We are deeply grateful for his support, friendship and commitment to our mission.

Our thoughts are with his family, friends and all who loved him.

Vale, Sir Sam Neill. He will be deeply missed. ❄️

Today, on , the Snowdome Foundation stands with people living with rare blood cancers and the loved ones who support them.

While blood cancer is one of Australia’s most common cancers, there are more than 120 different types across leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma—many of them incredibly rare. Behind every diagnosis is a person navigating uncertainty and hoping for better treatment options and outcomes.

At Snowdome, we are proud to support the research that turns that hope into reality.❄

Today, and every day, we celebrate the incredible nurses who care for patients with compassion, expertise and dedication.

In haematology and oncology, nurses play a vital role in supporting patients through diagnosis, treatment and recovery - providing not only clinical care, but also reassurance, advocacy and human connection during some of life’s most challenging moments.

Featured is Epworth Freemasons’ Specialist Haematology Nurse Coordinator – Cell Therapy, Mary Sharlyn Benemerito, whose work supports patients and teams in delivering safe, coordinated care throughout their treatment journey.

The Snowdome Foundation applauds a significant milestone for Australian patients living with multiple myeloma.

The announcement of government-funded access to the CAR T-cell therapy Carvykti, as a fourth-line treatment, is a major step forward in improving access to life-changing therapies.

This milestone is the result of tireless advocacy by patients, clinicians, and the broader community, who have worked to ensure these breakthrough treatments are within reach. Patients who were once waiting are now willing, ready - and able - to access this therapy.

While this is a significant step, it’s also a reminder of the importance of continuing this momentum. Access, equity, and earlier availability of innovative treatments like CAR T-cell therapy remain critical.

The Snowdome Foundation remains committed to advocating for equitable access to next-generation therapies for all Australians living with blood cancer.

Thank you to Snowdome Patron Sam Neill, advocate Geoffrey Nyssen, and Professor Miles Prince for standing with Snowdome to speak up for something that matters deeply.

CAR T-cell therapy is transforming outcomes for people with blood cancer, offering hope where there was once very little.

Together, they are advocating for this treatment to be more accessible, so every Australian who needs it has the same chance to benefit, no matter their circumstances or where they live.

At Snowdome, we remain committed to pushing for faster, fairer access to CAR T-cell therapy in Australia and to helping bring these breakthroughs closer to home.
