Snowdome Foundation is pleased to announce two funding opportunities made possible through the generous support of the Cannon Family.
🔹 2026 Cannon Family Travel Grants • 2 grants available • $5,000 + GST each • Support attendance at international conferences, workshops and professional events • Applications close 16 November 2026
🔹 2026 Cannon Family Global Learning Travel Scholarship • 1 scholarship available • Up to $15,000 + GST • Supports a 4-6 week placement at an international institution of excellence • EOI closes 22 February 2027
These opportunities are designed to help Australian researchers and clinicians build international connections, gain new knowledge and bring valuable expertise back to Australia to improve outcomes for people affected by blood cancer.

As Blood Cancer Awareness Month comes to a close, we are reflecting on the progress we have celebrated, the stories we have shared, and the reason our work matters.

Throughout September, we have highlighted the experiences of patients and families, the dedication of researchers and clinicians, and the advances in blood cancer research that are bringing new hope to those affected by blood cancer.

Every breakthrough starts with research. Every new treatment begins with a scientific discovery. Every step forward offers hope to patients and families facing a blood cancer diagnosis.

We want to thank our community of supporters, donors, researchers, clinicians, advocates and families. Your commitment is helping accelerate the research that brings promising discoveries closer to patients.

Together, we are working towards a future where every Australian affected by blood cancer has access to the very best treatment and care.

Blood Cancer Awareness Month may be coming to an end, but the need for research doesn’t stop on 30 September. Neither does our determination to create a future with more treatment options, better outcomes, and more precious moments for patients and families.

On Wednesday 30th of September, for every coffee sold, Splash Cafe (located in the Como Centre, South Yarra) will donate $1 to the Snowdome Foundation in support of Blood Cancer Awareness Month.

Blood cancers – leukaemias, lymphomas and myeloma - affect thousands of Australians and their families each year. The Snowdome Foundation funds research that translates into clinical trials and new treatments, helping bring the latest therapies to Australian patients sooner.

By enjoying your coffee, you're helping support a future where more people can live longer, healthier lives after a blood cancer diagnosis.

For people living with peripheral T-cell lymphoma, timely access to new treatments can make a life-changing difference.

This World Lymphoma Awareness Day, we’re pleased to mark the PBS listing of romidepsin, helping ensure more Australians can access this important treatment.

Before PBS funding, Snowdome was proud to help patients access romidepsin through fundraising from a past Snowball event, helping bridge the gap while broader access was being pursued.

Romidepsin's PBS listing is a powerful reminder of what is possible when research, advocacy and community support come together to accelerate access to better treatments. Every step forward brings us closer to improving outcomes and creating more hope for people facing blood cancer.
