πŸ’š Thank You, Meadows!

A big thank you to everyone who came along to our Community Forum last night and took the time to share your ideas, priorities and thoughts for the future of our community.

It was great to see people getting involved and contributing to the conversation about what matters most to Meadows.

We will now compile all the feedback received into our Community Wish List, which will be submitted to Mount Barker District Council for consideration.

Thank you again to everyone who participated and helped have their say on the future of Meadows!

UPCOMING FOGO TRIAL INFO SESSION

Mount Barker District Council are working with our communities to answer questions and have concerns heard regarding the trial of an alternative Food Organics Garden Organics (FOGO) service from March 2027.

The trial involves properties whose bins are collected on Mondays and includes the townships of Echunga, Macclesfield and Meadows as well as surrounding rural areas.

Going by feedback on social media, we know residents in the trial area have some questions - which is completely understandable.

If you live in the trial area, we invite you to join our upcoming community information session so we can help you prepare for the trial and ask us questions:

πŸ’œ What a fantastic night for Mates, Meals & Mental Health! πŸ’œ

Last Thursday we welcomed a great crowd to the Meadows Memorial Hall for our Mates, Meals & Mental Health Program, and it was wonderful to see so many people come together for an evening of conversation, connection and mental health awareness.

A huge thank you to John Mannion from Breakthrough Mental Health Research Foundation for presenting on the night and sharing his knowledge and insights, and to Tom Jonas for joining us and openly sharing his experiences.

We’d also like to sincerely thank the Rotary Club of Mount Barker and the Meadows Ag Bureau for their support in helping make the evening possible.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the night such a success.
