MADCA Community Grants 2026: Giving Back to the Range!

Thanks to everyone who supports our monthly Mapleton Country Markets, MADCA was thrilled to present this year's grants to amazing local projects that impact hundreds across our community:

Lions Club of Blackall Range ($2,411) – Funding their first portable public defibrillator & CPR training for events and disaster response.

Baroon Song Project Group ($1,500) – Transcribing and recording "Bunyas of Baroon", an original song for the Mapleton Community Choir.

Zonta Club of Blackall Range & Speak Up Now ($1,155) – Installing 150 domestic & family violence helpline signs in public washrooms across the Hinterland.

Mapleton Observatory ($2,558) – Upgrading technology with a dedicated laptop and imaging software to create digital keep-sakes for visitors.

Plus, grants were awarded to the Mapleton Men’s Shed for new storage, the Mapleton State School P&C for outdoor seating, and the Mapleton Kindy for air conditioning!

Special thanks to outgoing President Peter Gamgee, incoming President Steve Turton, Division 10 Cr David Law, and market convenors Donna & Paula.
