The Shack Community Centre

The Shack Community Centre The Shack is a non-denominational Christian community centre focused on the well-being of its community and its diverse people groups.

In 2002 the Shack was pioneered to partner with the Nambour community to assist with its young people. From those humble abandoned butcher shop facilities to its current position at 19 Price St Nambour, the Shack has established itself as a significant thread in the fabric of the community. We are still privileged to connect with many young people, but have broadened our base to reaching the needs

of all ages. We offer a 3-fold approach to our support taking the position that individuals are physical, spiritual and emotional. Our team of trained counsellors, accredited teachers and support workers have developed an empathetic and caring environment to support people to grow, learn and laugh. Our thumbnail: “a part of the solution” best illustrates our commitment to partner with other agencies and support groups to best meet the needs of our much loved communities. Bless Ya’s

This was initiated by two little legends, Tali and Jack 💪🏼 and assisted by their parents! How awesome is community 👏🏻

This will go a long way to restocking our pantry for when we reopen in October ☀️

Nambour Winter Shelter “ That’s a Wrap” for 2026. What an experience and joy it has been. 4 housing outcomes, families reconciled, safe spaces to rest and new friends made. Planning in place for 2027 and watch this space for “ hopefully “ some new initiatives and programs.
