We are excited to see students in our Eastern Nepal Rising Pilot Project implementing some of the digital learning strategies recently introduced to the community through our partnership with Open Learning Exchange (OLE) Nepal.

We are carefully tracking the impacts of this strategy as part of this pilot.

While the floods have been devastating in a relatively small area and the recovery will take a long time, other areas of Nepal remain open and are hoping people will still visit.

Almost one in seven jobs in Nepal rely on tourism. Travellers need to consider these things before planning a return to Nepal.

Close to $50,000 raised through PHASE Nepal!

Our partners, PHASE Nepal have been out in the Rasuwa Bhote Koshi flood zone delivering immediate and important relief. The pictures are harrowing and the support needed is significant. Thank you to everyone who has donated through this fund and others which we have recommended.

A more extensive update of the teams first visit to the area will be shared soon.

Amongst the devastating scenes and stories coming out of Nepal there are also stories of amazing survival.

Education is one of the key pillars of the work HDFA does and this story helps us all know that in this small part of Nepal, they will rise again.

About 1,600 schoolchildren were saved by their teacher shortly before the school was inundated in last week's devastating floods.
