🌱 A Huge Shout Out to Our Amazing Running Wild Cadets! 🌱
Today we want to recognise the incredible efforts of our Running Wild Cadets who have been working hard alongside community members and volunteers to help care for and improve our local environment.
Through the Parkcare project at Macleay Island Community Park, our young people have been getting hands-on experience in environmental conservation, and teamwork. From removing invasive weeds and spreading mulch to helping maintain garden beds and supporting native plantings, they have shown dedication, pride, and a genuine commitment to making a difference.
These opportunities not only help beautify our community spaces but also build valuable skills, confidence, responsibility, and connections with the community.
We are incredibly proud of every young person involved. Your hard work is helping create a greener, healthier, and more vibrant place for everyone to enjoy.
A big thank you also to the Macleay Island Community Park Working Group, volunteers, and our partners for supporting and encouraging our young people every step of the way.
πŸ‘ Well done Cadets – your efforts are making a real impact and showing what young people can achieve when they come together for their community!
