Qld Garden Show – Nambour Show grounds Friday July 10th - BUS TRIP

Come along and meet Jerry Coleby-Williams . Jerry is an Internationally renowned horticulturist and Gardening Australia's longest-serving presenter, Jerry is a pioneer of sustainability and organic best practice. His Brisbane home, 'Bellis', is a globally recognised example of climate-responsive living, producing food, energy and biodiversity in abundance. With a career spanning botanic gardens, media and international speaking, Jerry continues to lead conversations around sustainable gardening.

The Karragarra Community Gardens has once again booked the Blue Bus to take us to the Nambour Showgrounds for Queensland's premier gardening event where you'll see the biggest range of plants and catch some of Australia's gardening experts giving free talks, demonstrations and workshops.
No parking hassles, travel in luxury on the chauffeur driven Blue Bus. Just sit back and enjoy the ride and save your energy for the busy day ahead.
The cost of the bus trip for members is $75 and for non-members is $85 which includes the cost of entry.

The Community Garden was a lovely place to be this morning and a dedicated bunch of volunteers turned up to help plant, w**d and make compost and then enjoy a light lunch in the garden with yummy food and good friends. We even had a grasshopper join in this morning hitching a ride on Nori’s head. Come and join us any Wednesday from 9.30 with lunch from 11.30.

Always plenty of excitement in the garden when we dig up the sweet potatoes and today was the last of the crop. Some will be roasted in the rocket stove on Saturday afternoon at the garden social so come along from 4pm to try them out. Bring a plate to share and your favourite tipple.

Busy day in the garden yesterday after all the rain of the past week. Visitors and workaways enjoyed visiting and volunteering in the garden then sat down to enjoy a well earned lunch in the sunshine. Loving using our solar oven to warm up yummy spicy chicken drumsticks and Swedish cinnamon rolls.
