Girl Guides Queensland are reaffirming their commitment to being a Child Safe Organisation by raising awareness and crucial funds to help support our volunteers to continue to provide safe spaces and programmes for our girls.

“Switch your Brew, Back Tomorrow’s Leaders Today” is a Statewide campaign aimed at encouraging supporters to make one small change that will have lasting impact. By switching your daily cuppa to Girl Guides Queensland Coffee, you can support GGQ’s mission to empower girls in Queensland in safe and supportive spaces where they feel seen, heard and encouraged.

Today Victoria Point Rangers, Guides and Pixie Guides all took the ferry to beautiful Coochiemudlo Island. Hiking the 5km loop, we choose to tackle the red ochre cliffs first, then headed to Morwong Beach to stop for morning tea under the shady trees. After that we made our way back through the Melaleuca wetlands and along Norfolk beach, where the girls got to end our hike with a play in the playground. With 27 of us participating, that made a total of 135km hiked today! BRAVO!

We know that our parents, carers and volunteers give so much to Girl Guides, this EOFY we're showcasing the connection, confidence, and community made possible through Girl Guides Queensland. For many girls and young women, Guiding provides a safe place to learn, grow, make friends, and discover who they can become.

You can help us spread this message by sharing this post with your friends, family, and networks. Together, we can help more people learn about the impact of Guiding and the importance of creating safe spaces where everyone feels they belong.

Because belonging changes lives. đź’™

As a Region Manager, I’m so proud and privileged to be a part of a Region, whose leaders and those from other Regions Peet, made helping out at the FAPW Friendship Day at Kindilan Outdoor Education & Conference Centre today an absolute joy.
The leaders, got in, got jobs done and in particular got a drop off and pick up system going that could rival the even the harshest school car park monitor.
They facilitated wonderful activities for our Guides and International visitors, and I think everyone had a fantastic time.
It’s such an honour to have these wonderful women and Guides in Moreton Region. Thank you everyone, and to Carol Stubbs who organised all of the activities.
Some of our leaders rubbed shoulders with royalty👸
BRAVO and Thank you.
