💛Flashback Friday💚

Continuing on from last week’s Bulleen campus throwback, this week we will be visiting the year 2004, the year of the great Bulleen Flood.

Cricketers will revel in the fact that the Daley Oval infield and pitch are safe, but sadly, the same cannot be said for the Hudson Oval!

The Cohen Room can be seen clearly in this image on top of the original Just Pavilion. Murray Verso noted last week that the Cohen Room was opened in 1997, “partly funded by Philip and Peter Cohen in honour of their parents, Ron & Elvie Cohen”.

Do you remember when this happened? Comment below!

💛Flashback Friday💚

With the launch of the Name a Seat campaign this week, it seemed fitting to look back on the Marles Playing Fields and the jewel in its crown: The Just Pavilion. Over the next few weeks, we will be sharing some historical content concerning the Bulleen campus.

This week we will throw it back to 1985, two years after the official opening of the fields and pavilion! Some may notice the lack of a second floor on the pavilion (The Cohen Room). Does anyone know when the Cohen Room was added? Comment below!

Next week we will take a look at Bulleen at the turn of the century!

Last Wednesday, our Sydney based OTG’s enjoyed a dinner together. A lovely reminder that our community extends far beyond the school gates!

It was wonderful to see OTG’s reconnecting, reminiscing, and enjoying each other’s company. A great demonstration that distance is no barrier to staying connected with our school community.

Campbell MacLean (OTG 2020) attended the evening, and mentioned how it was “great to reconnect with old friends and new, as the Trinity spirit expands across Australia”

Sentimental Saturday 💚🥰💛

The class of 2016 will celebrate their 10 year reunion on the 10th of September this year! The evening will be enjoyed with canapés and refreshments at Trinity Grammar School.

Here’s a throwback to the 2016 valedictory dinner at the MCG, a night that is fondly remembered by so many OTG’s, parents and teachers.

Recognise anyone? Comment below who and where they are in the photo!

In a Throwback Thursday double, we are also celebrating the 2018 AGSV soccer premiership!

The last time both our football and soccer sides played in a grand final on the same day was 2018, which ended up being victorious for our soccer boys! Who do you recognise from the photo? On the far right is Matt Rock, assistant coach in 2018 and now the current head coach of Old Trinity Grammarians Soccer Club

Tomorrow at 2.30pm, the schools First XI soccer team is taking on PEGS at the PEGS sporting fields for a chance at premiership glory! Please get down to support them!

Go well boys 💚💛

Throwback Thursday is an especially pertinent one this week, as we look back on the 2012 AGSV Premiership side!

This team was stacked with talent, with a few boys seen in the photo going on to play at AFL and VFL levels for many years. Comment below who you recognise from the team!

Tomorrow night, the schools First XVIII will take on Marcellin in the AGSV Football Grand Final. We wish them the best of luck against our neighbours, and look forward to a recreation of this photo, ending our 14 year drought!

The bounce is at 5pm on the Hudson Oval, Marles Playing Fields. Get down to support if you can!

Go T’s 💚💛
