QACC was honoured to attend the Multicultural Leaders Reception at Parliament House, hosted by Queensland Premier David Crisafulli MP and Minister Fiona Simpson MP.

We sincerely thank the Premier and Minister for recognising and celebrating the valuable contributions of Queensland’s multicultural communities.

QACC was honoured to receive a Certificate of Appreciation from the Queensland Government in recognition of our contribution to Queensland’s multicultural community.

The Queensland African Communities Council is proud to be co-organising the Multicultural Unity Dinner, alongside the Federation of Indian Communities of Queensland Inc., Queensland Muslims Inc., and Universal Education & Multicultural Exchange Association Inc.

This special evening will bring together multicultural community organisations and leaders from across Queensland to celebrate unity, diversity, inclusion and collaboration.

Yesterday, QACC Leadership was pleased to attend Walk My Way, hosted by the Australian Lutheran World Service (ALWS).

Walk My Way raises vital funds to support refugee girls in East Africa to access education and help refugees receive training to become teachers. Every dollar makes a difference.

QACC sincerely thanks the ALWS team, participants, performers and supporters for coming together to make a meaningful difference in the lives of refugees and communities across East Africa.

A special acknowledgement to Samoko, Nii and Yen for their wonderful African cultural performances, which brought energy, colour and a beautiful celebration of African culture to the event.

Together, we can walk towards a future of opportunity, education and hope.

Queensland African Communities Council (QACC) extends its warmest congratulations to the Queensland Chinese Affairs Committee (QCAC) on the successful launch of the organisation.

It was an honour for QACC to attend this landmark occasion alongside representatives from Federal, State and Local Governments, business leaders, and multicultural communities from across Queensland.

We commend Founding President Peter Zhuang and the QCAC leadership for their vision and commitment to strengthening the voice of the Chinese community while fostering unity, collaboration, and active participation in Queensland's multicultural society.

QACC looks forward to working closely with QCAC to promote inclusion, mutual understanding, stronger community partnerships, and social cohesion.

Together, we can continue celebrating the diversity that makes Queensland one of Australia's greatest strengths.

Congratulations on this historic achievement, and we wish QCAC every success in the years ahead.

The Queensland African Communities Council (QACC) stands in solidarity with the Islamic College of Brisbane, following yesterday’s tragic incident.

Our thoughts are with the injured student, their family, fellow students, teachers, and the entire school community. We wish the injured student a full and speedy recovery and extend my heartfelt support to everyone affected during this difficult time.

This is a time for compassion, not speculation; unity, not division. We encourage everyone to allow the Queensland Police Service to complete its investigation and to avoid spreading rumours or unverified information.

Let us also reject any attempt to use this incident to promote hatred or divide our communities.

Together, let us support those affected and reaffirm our shared commitment to safe, inclusive, and respectful communities for all.
