Mental Awareness Foundation The Mental Awareness Foundation (MAF) strongly advocates for the rights, acceptance and recognition of people dealing with mental illnesses.

The Mental Awareness Foundation (MAF) strongly advocates for the rights, acceptance and recognition of people dealing with mental illnesses and leads the crusade to break the taboo of talking about su***de and depression. The Walk For Awareness is celebrated by Brisbane as the opening of Qld Mental Health Week and is now the LARGEST mental health walk across Australia & New Zealand. It brings the

community together to support each other and raise my needed funds to run programs that preserve lives through empowerment.

Did you know we have a 9km and 5km walk option at the Walk For Awareness?

The 9km course takes us down through Kangaroo Point and across the Brisbane River before continuing through the Botanic Gardens and up to Howard Smith Wharves before crossing the Story Bridge and finishing back at Captain Burke Park.

For the 5km option, you'll continue through the Botanic Gardens but then turn right across the Kangaroo Point Bridge before heading back up to Captain Burke Park.

Decide on the day which course you want to complete!
