What a difference time, dedication and a whole lot of hard work can make!
These before and after aerial images courtesy of Sunshine Coast Council of Quinlan's, bequeathed to the Australian Koala Foundation in 2010, showcasing an incredible transformation. What was once a landscape with limited healthy vegetation has become a thriving research station and natural reserve, providing valuable habitat for wildlife and reflecting the power of ecological restoration.
This achievement would not have been possible without the tireless efforts of our on-site manager, Ian, who has spent countless hours planting trees, removing invasive weeds, maintaining infrastructure and caring for the property. Remarkably, all of this has been accomplished without heavy machinery or the use of chemicals and pesticides.
We're also incredibly grateful to supporters like Nature's Path and EnviroKidz, whose contributions have helped us continue restoring and managing this special place.
Today, Quinlan's stands as a living legacy to Peter and Julanne Quinlan and a shining example of what can be achieved when we give nature the chance to heal.
Every donation helps us continue planting trees, restoring habitat and protecting the landscapes koalas depend on.
