Event number 219

Another chilly morning greeted us for event number 219. We’ve had some cold ones this year, but that is to be expected in the winter months, especially in Jarrahdale!

First of all a huge congratulations goes out to Shirley Whiting, bringing up both her 250th run and 250th volunteer at this event! An excellent achievement on its own, and even more special to bring them up on the same day! Shirley has been an essential part of our parkrun, thank you for your efforts over the years.

Congratulations to Yvonne and Greg who both set new course PBs at this event. Well done!

Also, a great big welcome to Brodie, Jasmine and Kobi who joined us for the first time. Thanks for choosing Jarrahdale!

Thanks to all the volunteers who helped put event 219 together. We’re always happy to have new volunteers for any role. If you’re interested in Jarrahdale Heritage parkrun, put us in your diary and come join us. You’ll have a great time!

This week 17 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 3 were first timers and 2 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 3 different clubs took part.

Jarrahdale Heritage parkrun started on 26th March 2022. Since then 2,291 participants have completed 6,486 parkruns covering a total distance of 32,430 km, including 945 new Personal Bests. A total of 244 individuals have volunteered 2,157 times.

Join us tomorrow for event #. 219, and a special milestone as our co-event diirector & volunteer coordinator Shirl, celebrates 250 parkruns & 250 volunteers. From our launch to her most recent run, Shirl has done it all., thanks for all your hard work Shirl, a well deserved milestone

We look forward to seeing you all at 7.45am for 8am start, a chilly morning is forecast so what better way to welcome the day than to join us on the trails.

Its looking like a cool but perfect morning this Saturday for event # 218, we have a couple of volunteer milestones this week so be sure to come along and show your support and appreciation, Vaughan ticks off his 100th volunteer milestone, to go alongside his 250th run a couple of weeks ago, a great achievement Vaughan your ongoing assistance as part of our core event team is much appreaciated.
oh and I will wear the run directors vest for the 100th time.

We still have some volunteer spots to fill, so if you can help out let us know, we are needing a 2nd Tail-walker, someone to hand out finish tokens & a carpark marshall.

We look forward to seeing you on Saturday 7.45am for the pre event briefings before an 8am start

A great start to the long weekend! Thank you to our volunteers, regulars and visitors for attending on a lovely (if cool) morning in Jarrahdale.

Welcome to the parkrun family, Aiden and Somni - and thanks for choosing Jarrahdale to start your parkrun journey, we hope you enjoyed it. Congratulations to Jason, Shunya and Cassie on achieving personal bests.
