As National Volunteer Week comes to a close, we wanted to take one final moment to say thank you.
Thank you to the people who arrive early to feed horses before anyone else gets there.
To the volunteers who walk beside riders every week โ encouraging, supporting, believing.
To those who quietly do the jobs no one sees: cleaning tack, making lunches, answering phones, organising equipment, filling water buckets, fundraising, mowing paddocks, and staying back until the last horse is settled.
At Riding for the Disabled Victoria, volunteers are not just part of what we do.
They are the reason we can do it.
Because of you, children and adults with disability experience joy, independence, confidence and connection.
Because of you, someone feels seen.
Because of you, someone belongs.
And while this week shines a light on volunteers, the truth is your impact is felt every single day of the year.
From all of us at RDAV โ thank you for the care, patience and heart you bring to our community.
We are endlessly grateful.
