GREG’S SOCIAL MEDIA TAKEOVER... (FOR ONE WEEK ONLY!!!)

Good morning everyone. Greg here - Director of Bonorong.

I haven't been on social media since our Business & Guest Services team took my access away after my last takeover, for the Project RECAP campaign in late 2023. But don't worry - I'm back to annoy you for the whole of the next week, and I just can't wait! I have locked the door so they can't get in and kick me out again!

So why am I here? Well today is the biggest launch in our history; the opening of the new Bonorong Wildlife Hospital & Rehabilitation Facility, which is 7.5 times bigger than our previous hospital.

It's a big day and it's also the day that we launch a one-week smash campaign to raise some vital funds for the most important bit of making the new facility all it can be; and that's the people!

Having a world class facility is fantastic, but even more crucial are the specialist vets and nurses that make the machinery work and use their unbelievable expertise. So with the opening of the hospital, we're also launching the 'Double It For Wildlife Week' fundraising campaign, which will run until 10pm on the 13th of November.

Who can forget Project RECAP, which raised an astonishing $420,000 - and remember, that was generously matched by the Elsie Cameron Foundation and laid the groundwork for the new facility. The exciting news is, THE ELSIE CAMERON FOUNDATION ARE AT IT AGAIN AND WANT TO MATCH EVERY DOLLAR RAISED THIS WEEK UP TO $400,000!!!

These incredible partners (to us and to wildlife) understand that the new facility is world class and that we now need to turn our attention to funding the people to make the cogs turn, and save as many critters as we can. So for all of the next week, I'll be drastically annoying you and keeping you updated on where we're at, as we strive to raise funds to cover vets and vet nurses to kick some serious goals for wildlife.

EVERY BIT COUNTS AND EVERY DOLLAR IS DOUBLED.

This campaign is being run by Friends of Bonorong - the charitable organisation supporting all that we do - so every donations over $2 is tax-deductible. Read more about the campaign by clicking on the link below, and share this far and wide to help us to double donations in our fight for wildlife.

P.S. After the campaign, feel free to block me on social media, but until then, I'll have you all screaming "please, no more of this bloke!" Let's go team!!!!!
