Firstly, weâd like to thank each and every person who stood with us in the Yellow Army this season. Your contribution did not go unnoticed.
Unfortunately, it will go down as a disrupted campaign, clouded with uncertainty about the future of our great club. There were some days, particularly during the start of the season, where the overwhelming amount of adversity towards us and the club would leave Bay 16 rather quiet, portraying itself as a dying shadow of its former self.
However, after plenty of long conversations and work behind the scenes, changes were made, and we started to see life come back to the Yellow Army. While last night didnât go the way we hoped, each and every Mariners fan who travelled contributed to a great atmosphere, despite what happened on the pitch, and for that, you can all hold your heads up high. It was a small glimpse of what our support culture can look like, but thereâs no doubt that together, we can become far bigger and better than that in the future.
As the dust is seemingly beginning to settle with the ownership situation, it is now our time as supporters to really step it up. We need to see the colourful crowds of yellow and blue flood the streets of Gosford and fill the stands every week once more. We need to see the passionate energy we Mariners fans are capable of, but tend to hide quite often. We need to turn our little stadium into a fortress that is feared by opposition players and truly adored by our own. Itâs time to put the pride back in the Coast.
We have big plans for next season, which can only come to light with your support. We are always looking for people to join in, and if youâre wondering how or want to get more deeply involved with the core group, flick us a message. All Mariners fans are welcome.
Until next season⌠COYY
