Patrols run on weekends from 9am to 5pm with the season starting in September and ending in April.

Last weekend Neptune attended Legacy's Canungra Combat Challenge providing water safety for the river crossing section of the course.

This year Legacy had 150 participants raising over $80,000 for families of fallen and injured veterans.

The weather was warmer, above freezing, and no rescues needed in the water. It was a great morning out at Kokoda Barracks. See you next year!

2025/2026 Season Recap 🌊🚩

What a season it’s been.

From September through to May, across weekends and public holidays, our volunteer patrols were on the beach keeping watch over 232,400 beachgoers.

In that time, our team delivered:
483 rescues
245 first aids
1,274 preventative actions
4,836 volunteer patrol hours

Those hours represent early mornings, long days in the sun, and a huge commitment from our members — all given to keep others safe.

Behind every stat is a story, a teammate, and a moment where training and teamwork made a difference.

A massive thank you to all of our volunteers for their dedication throughout the season, and to our community for your support.

We’re proud of what’s been achieved — and we’ll be ready to do it all again next season 👏

Last weekend Neptune hosted the 2026 RLSSQ Club Carnival. 🚩🚩

Great turnout of athletes with representatives from Neptune, Ithaca, and Airlie beach in attendance. The weather put on a show with warm temps, shining sun and crystal clear water. 🏖️

Thanks to our volunteers on the day, throughout the season and a big shout out to those that competed and made the trek. 🏊‍♀️

A split weekend on the beach — busy Saturday followed by a quieter Sunday.

Our lifesavers recorded 19 rescues, 21 preventative actions, and 7 first aids, staying on top of things during the peak periods.

Thanks to everyone who followed the flags and listened to advice — it makes a big difference.
