What a great finish to the Queensland State Surfing Champs yesterday on the Sunny Coast!

A massive thanks to Surfing Queensland for putting on another fantastic event, with Kneeboarders proudly represented for the 3rd year in a row. The Bluff delivered some fun yet challenging conditions, keeping competitors on their knees and topside toes all day long!

Huge congratulations to Gary Slater for taking out the prestigious 🥇 1st place title, with Karl Ward pushing him all the way in an incredibly close final with only 0.33 points separating them!

Special mention needs to go to 17-year-old Keone Clark who made it all the way to the finals in his very first event which was an awesome effort and he is definitely one to watch for the future!

Assuming that the fine gentlemen of K-inc are more than aware that this coming Sunday, being the day of motherly celebration, overrules the second Sunday of the month K-inc gathering of the minds. In other words, no K-inc this Sunday.
Stay tuned for further information pertaining to the next K-inc-ing.

The Queensland State Titles is only two and a half weeks away, and we're still looking to fill some spots. Any members of K-inc who don't reside in Queensland have been granted permission to compete. The prerequisite is being a member of Kneeboarders Inc and membership with Surfing Queensland. Surfing QLD membership is $65, and K-inc is $25. Entry into the event is $120.

Blow the dust and cobwebs off those wallets and support your sport, sport.

Heading to the World Titles ?

The QLD State Titles is a sanctioned qualifier.

The 2026 Queensland State Championships will be run from Saturday - Thursday, 23 - 28 May on the Sunshine Coast, and consists of disciplines including Shortboard, Longboard, SUP surfing and Kneeboarding.

ENTRY FEE:

Early Bird Entry (enter before 5pm, Friday 24 April): $120 (incl. GST). Standard Entry: $132 (incl. GST)

Entries open: 12pm Wednesday 1st April 2026

Entries close: 5pm Friday 15th May 2026

Enter by 5pm, Friday 24th April to receive an event shirt with the redesigned 2026 Queensland State Championships logo.

Please make sure to select your shirt size when completing your entry.

Sunday 24th: U21 Opens Shortboard/Masters Shortboard

The Kneeboarders Inc AGM has been run and done. The club would like to thank outgoing committee members. Jason Harrison (president) has stepped down from the position, but will remain on the committee. Jason Revis (contest director). Jason has scampered back over the ditch and is now residing back in the land of the long white cloud. And last but not least, Bevan Baché, aka Tube Pig, has also stepped aside, but will no doubt be round and about. Thanks again, gentlemen.
