Strong Communities' heart goes out to everyone affected by the devastating floods and natural disasters in Nepal.

We are thinking of the families who have lost loved ones, homes and belongings during this difficult time. Our deepest condolences to those who have lost their lives, and our thoughts are with everyone facing loss, uncertainty and hardship.

May those affected find strength, hope and support.

🌏✨ A Wonderful Day at Our Multicultural Playgroup! ✨🌏

Today was another beautiful day at our Multicultural Playgroup, filled with learning, laughter, creativity and connection! ❤️

🚨 We were very lucky to welcome some wonderful members of the Queensland SES team, who spent time with the children and families talking about emergency preparedness, safety and what to do in an emergency. The kids loved learning about the important work SES volunteers do in our community! 🧡

📚✨ We also celebrated Book Week, with lots of smiles, colourful activities and plenty of fun. The children enjoyed getting creative with playdough, exploring sensory activities and learning through play. 🎨🐠🦈

And, of course, the biggest smiles came from our little ones! 🥰

A huge thank you to the SES team for joining us, sharing your knowledge and making the day so special for our families. 🧡

It was wonderful to see our multicultural community coming together, learning from each other and creating happy memories together. 🌏🤝❤️

📚 BOOK WEEK AT HARMONY KIDS MULTICULTURAL PLAYGROUP! 📚

Harmony Kids Multicultural Playgroup is on tomorrow, and we’re celebrating Book Week!

Come dressed as your favourite book character and join us for a fun morning of stories, imagination and play.

🌟 What to expect:

- Book Week themed activities and crafts
- Sensory play
- Story time and book reading
- Singing and dancing
- Creative play
- Plenty of opportunities for children and families to connect and have fun!

🌏 IS YOUR COMMUNITY AT THE TABLE?

Gladstone is home to people from many cultures and communities but those communities need people willing to bring their experiences, challenges and ideas into the conversation.

That's what Intercultural Tables is about.

This isn't just another meeting.

It's a space for multicultural and community leaders to come together to:

🤝 Build connections across our communities
💬 Talk about emerging issues
🔎 Identify gaps in services and support
📣 Share what's happening within our communities
💡 Develop actions we can work on together
🌏 Make sure our communities are represented

And you don't need an official title to be a community leader.

If you're the person people come to for information, support, advice or connection — your voice belongs at the table.

We particularly want to hear from multicultural and cultural leaders, emerging leaders, faith leaders, community organisations and service representatives.

Moving somewhere new can be hard, especially when you don't know many people and find yourself spending a lot of time at home.

So every Wednesday, we're creating a place where women can simply come together, have a cuppa, have some fun and make new friends. 🌸

💬 Lots of chatting & getting to know each other

And the best part? The women who come along can help decide what we do each week!
