Every second Thursday from 9.30am to 12.30pm
at the Philip Street Communities and Families Precinct
Free Bus Service available! Come and join our group Softly Helping You Inc. (SHY) for a fun social morning at Gladstone's Philip Street Precinct. On SHY's Social Days we will cater with a morning tea and have local musicians & artists to entertain. Our primary interest is to provide a safe, welcomin

g and social environment for people who require care and their carers. Or if you are lonely and in need of some company this is a safe space for you to come along to enjoy a social morning meeting new people whilst listening to live music. Entry is a $2.00 per person with a ticket in the lucky door prize!

Our hearts are breaking for our beautiful friend Susan following the passing of her beloved husband, Robbie.

We know just how incredibly difficult these past few months have been for Susan as she lovingly cared for Robbie through his long and challenging illness. She stood by his side with so much love, compassion, strength and dignity, giving him the very best of herself right until the end.

Sixty years of love, memories and a life shared together is something truly precious, and we know Robbie will be deeply missed by Susan, their family and all those who knew and loved him.

Susan, we are thinking of you, holding you close in our hearts and sending you and your family our deepest sympathy, love and strength during this heartbreaking time.

Rest peacefully, Robbie, you will be missed ❤️

What a truly special morning we shared at our last SHY Social!

There was plenty of fun, laughter, chatting and dancing, thank you Athol for the wonderful music! But the highlight of the morning was seeing the wonderful Sofia Aiello presented with the very well-deserved Paul Harris Fellow Award by Kathy Jones, the new President of Rotary Sunrise, on behalf of The Rotary Foundation.

Sofia, this recognition is so incredibly deserved. Thank you for everything you have done, and continue to do, for SHY. We are so grateful for your dedication, passion and the countless hours you have given to help make SHY what it is today.

Yes, SHY is very much a team effort, but without Sofia and her small group of like-minded women who had a vision to bring people together and create a place of friendship and connection, SHY simply wouldn’t be what it is today.

We are so proud of you, Sofia, and couldn’t think of anyone more deserving of this wonderful recognition. 💙💙💙

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible volunteers who worked so hard to ensure everything ran smoothly. Your dedication makes these mornings so special.

What a fantastic morning we shared last Thursday at our SHY Social Morning 💙

There was plenty of fun on the dance floor as everyone enjoyed the wonderful music from Cathy once again. Add in delicious morning tea, lots of laughter, and great company, and it all made for another very successful and enjoyable SHY Social Morning.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came along and helped make it such a special morning. We can't wait to see you all again at our next get-together!
