Victoria's only specialised non-profit grief service supporting children after the death of a parent. This is 1 child in every classroom in Victoria.

1 in 20 Australian children have a parent die before the age of 18. An extremely difficult time for children and their family, and can potentially result in long-term emotional health problems. Our aim is to support bereaved children and young people through out their grief. Wombat’s provides weekend camps, group counseling, 1:1 counseling and family days facilitated by psychologists, qualified allied health workers and volunteers. Our programs provide support, lifelong friendships and evidence-based workshops in a fun and safe environment. All services are provided at no cost to families. Wombat’s Wish services the whole of Victoria, Australia.

Freeman has packed the car, jumped onto the ferry and is on his way to Camp Manyung in Mt Eliza for our last family weekend grief program for 2026.

Today is the day!! 🐾🐾

With great weather forecasted, Ports famous donut van, iceceam, music, food and drinks, markets, vintage cars, rides and a whole lot more grab your picnic blanket and head down to the Portarlington cricket club to support Wombat’s Wish - Sproat Road between 10am and 3pm.

Gold coin entry with additional cost for some activities.
