Film Night Wrap-Up 🎬

What a night! 🍷🍽️

48 members enjoyed a delicious dinner, with huge thanks again to the Golf Club for looking after us so beautifully.

Then 53 of us settled in for the main event… the movie! 🎬

And after all that viewing, pondering and post-movie discussion, the final rating was a very respectable 3.7 ⭐️

Not quite Oscar territory, but we’ll take it! 😂

🎬🍿 ATTENTION, FILM LOVERS! THIS IS NOT A DRILL… 🍿🎬

Our August Film Evening is happening THIS TUESDAY, 11 AUGUST!

And with 50+ members joining us for dinner, it seems we’ve accidentally organised a very popular night. Clearly, food and films are a winning combination. 😂

🌟 Your glamorous evening concierge, Emma, will be waiting to greet you and sign you in. She may even make you feel like you’ve arrived at the Oscars. We make no promises about the red carpet. 😉

🎬 THE RUNNING ORDER

🍽️ 6.15pm – Arrive, check in & enjoy dinner
🎤 7.45pm – Welcome and a few important cinematic words
🎞️ 8.00pm – Lights down. Film on. Snacks strategically deployed.

🛋️ IMPORTANT COMFORT ANNOUNCEMENT

A cushion or blanket is absolutely encouraged. This is a judgement-free zone. If you need to create your own little cinema nest, we fully support it. 😂

So, gather your movie buddies, bring your best cinematic enthusiasm and prepare for an evening of food, friends and film.

Wasn’t that young actress brilliant!

It’s nearly film night for our amazing members.
So grab your cushion, your raffle ticket money and join us this Tuesday evening for our much anticipated film: Emu Runner.

We’ve got some great raffle prizes, hot coffee/tea, yummy treats and the bar is open 🩷

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us on Tuesday night to watch Someone to Love.

The film earned a solid 4 out of 5 from our audience. Judging by the laughter, sighs, knowing glances, and occasional “that’s so true” expressions, it seems many of us found parts of the story a little too relatable!

We were delighted to welcome 38 attendees, who not only enjoyed the movie but also tucked into supper, sipped coffee, wine or a drink of choice, and enthusiastically supported the raffle.

Thank you for making it such a wonderful evening. The film may have been called Someone to Love, but it’s our fabulous audience that we appreciate most!

Tuesday 9th June.
Ocean Grove Golf Club.
Doors open from 7.15 which gives us plenty of time to pick our favourite seats, order a wine, indulge in a baked treat and even buy a raffle ticket or 3.
Movie starts at 8pm.
Fingers crossed this beautiful weather indulges us for a few more days, but feel free to bring along a blanket or cushion etc.
