A huge thank you to everyone who joined us on Tuesday night to watch Someone to Love.

The film earned a solid 4 out of 5 from our audience. Judging by the laughter, sighs, knowing glances, and occasional “that’s so true” expressions, it seems many of us found parts of the story a little too relatable!

We were delighted to welcome 38 attendees, who not only enjoyed the movie but also tucked into supper, sipped coffee, wine or a drink of choice, and enthusiastically supported the raffle.

Thank you for making it such a wonderful evening. The film may have been called Someone to Love, but it’s our fabulous audience that we appreciate most!

Tuesday 9th June.
Ocean Grove Golf Club.
Doors open from 7.15 which gives us plenty of time to pick our favourite seats, order a wine, indulge in a baked treat and even buy a raffle ticket or 3.
Movie starts at 8pm.
Fingers crossed this beautiful weather indulges us for a few more days, but feel free to bring along a blanket or cushion etc.

Thank you fellow cake lovers for joining us last Tuesday for our screening of My favourite cake.

We had our biggest attendance numbers for this year, so exciting!

The official rating for the film was 4.2 out of 5. Looks like we were all hoping for the happy ending.

Thank you to Ocean Grove Golf Club, everyone who donated gifts for the raffle, for supporting our film society and enjoying a great evening.

April film night ✔️
What a powerful and moving movie. Yes that was me that ran off to get tissues from the toilets!
The Father had us hitting the emotions.

Thank you to our wonderful stores who donated to this months raffle.

For a chilly night our attendance sat at 43, and we had to scramble to grab a few more seats. Welcome to the three visitors that came along as a guest of a member.

The Father scored 4.3 in your ratings.

We have a great evening ahead with the April 14th screening of The Father. Staring the amazing Elizabeth Colman and Anthony Hopkins, at Ocean Grove Golf Club, doors open 7:15pm Tuesday, looking forward to seeing all our wonderful members.
We’ve got raffles, cake trays, drinks and conversation plus a great film.
Don’t forget you can bring a friend once a year with your membership.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for last Tuesday night’s screening of The Bank of Dave. It was a fun, inspiring and community-focused film, earning a fantastic 4.8-star rating from our members. It was also a special evening as we came together to enjoy the film and take a moment to remember our wonderful friend and committee member, Chris, who recently passed away.
We’re incredibly grateful for the kind words and generous donations made in Chris’s memory. Funds raised are going to Transplant Australia — a cause very close to Chris and his family.
