HI Ken Behrens!
Small piece of good news Jet has bees adopted!
Cody, and the most attractive Harley are the most in need.
Harley, lets say he could do with a face lift haha is not coping having been in the pound for sometime and would love a home asap.
Adopted dogs - Jet and Zeus has come into ARF and is already up for adoption, check out our website to learn more about him.

When visiting dogs at DAS, remember to take a few treats with you. When dogs first enter the yard, they often spend time sniffing and exploring all the exciting smells, or they may engage more with the handler they already know. This isn’t a reflection of the dog at all — they’ve just spent a lot of time in their run and are enjoying the open space.
Bringing treats can really help them engage with you and start building that all-important connection ❤️
What can you do to help?
- Become a foster carer. Visit the link below to apply to be a foster carer. This doesn't commit you to being a carer, but it starts the conversation. https://fosterdogs.org/foster/information-about-fostering-2/
- Adopt a dog from DAS
- Adopt a dog from ARF
DAS is always happy to see potential adopters come out to check out the dogs in person. Check out the DAS website for all the new dogs looking for a home that are not on here yet. Did you know DAS now has its own Instagram account? - check it out, follow and don't forget the DAS website as well.
Click on the pic to learn about each dog! New dogs in the album are at the end. Please go to the DAS website to apply to adopt. Please share where you can to help these most deserving dogs be seen by as many as possible.

You've heard of the king of gods? Well let us introduce you to the king of dogs!!

Zeus is an 11 month old Kelpie x American Bulldog who loves training and toys. This enthusiastic young man is ready for a home keen to build on the milestones he's already nailed and lift him up as high as Mount Olympus (which I hear is full of squeaky toys).

If you are looking for an affectionate, loving, loyal young dog with wisdom beyond his years, look no further.

More information about Zeus is available here: https://fosterdogs.org/dogs/zeus-3/.

Remember beautiful pound puppy Cleo who needed significant surgery on her leg? We’re so happy to share an exciting update: she's ready to adopt! 🖤

After our incredible ARF supporters donated over $4,500 and she had finally finished growing, Cleo was able to have life-changing surgery to treat a damaged growth plate which had impacted the growth of her leg.

Cleo, our gorgeous teenage Bull Arab x girl, was so patient on her recovery journey on restricted exercise and her dedicated foster carer spent that time working hard to complement her already lovely nature with well-refined manners. As a result, Cleo has had a great education including lots of commands and crate-training.

May has been a very exciting month full of adventures for Cleo! She joined ARF at Dock Dogs, spent a wonderful morning with the amazing team at JB Hi-Fi, made friends at the Canberra Paws Walk and even attended the ARF dog walker volunteer training as a very special guest.

Through these outings, Cleo has enjoyed socialising and representing ARF as a wonderful ambassador. We’ve loved watching her sweet personality shine through and nothing dampens her enthusiasm for life.

Cleo is all grown up with so much love to give, and we’re incredibly proud of how far she has come 🐾

If you’re interested in adopting Cleo, you can learn more about her here:

Last weekend we ran a Safe Leash Handling workshop for some of our new volunteer foster carers, dog walkers and volunteer supporters.
Building the knowledge in our team on things like safe use of equipment, how to safely control a big boisterous dog and how to communicate with our dogs using the leash.
A huge thanks to Ben from who presented his vast knowledge of safety to the team. Lightning, one of our foster dogs currently in kennels, came along to provide some assistance and proved to be a perfect boy.

We were thrilled to get this wonderful update about ZaaZoo who was adopted after years in ARF foster care:

"My partner and I adopted ZaaZoo about two months ago and I just wanted to send an email to say thank you to your organisation for connecting us with our beautiful boy! The adoption process was seamless and I appreciate that everyone took the time to make sure we were the right fit!"

Seeing ZaaZoo so loved and cherished in his new home is all the thanks we need!

We have other long-termers patiently waiting for their forever homes, maybe that might be you? Find out more by visiting our website: https://fosterdogs.org/adopt/available-dogs/.

Our ARF team was out and about today visiting Tuggeranong to say a big thank you for their Helping Hands program.
🖐️
ARF is a member of the Companion Animal Network Australia (CANA) who unite rescue groups across Australia to make the world a better place for pets.
CANA is one of the chosen charities that the JB HiFi Helping Hands program support. JB HiFi match staff donations dollar for dollar, and have raised over $28 million for charity partners.
💰
We had such a great morning at the Tuggeranong store taking our amazing dogs Millie, Molly, Doug, Coco and Cleo to make some new friends. We can’t do it without our supporters and the work of CANA.
Thank you team!
