Notice is hereby given of the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Darwin Indigenous Men’s Service (DIMS).

The Annual General Meeting is open to current DIMS members. Members are encouraged to attend and participate in the meeting.

📣 **YOUNG MEN AGED 18–25 IN DARWIN!**

Darwin Indigenous Men’s Service (DIMS), in partnership with **IBC Social Enterprise Pty Ltd**, is running the **Knowledge is Power: Men’s AOD Wellness Program**.

This is an opportunity for young men to come together, learn, share knowledge and strengthen their connection to culture, family and community.

🤝 **What will we cover?**
- Cultural healing workshops
- Understanding the impacts of alcohol and other drugs (AOD)
- Building strong relationships with local men and community organisations
- Culturally relevant education and shared resources
- Strengthening social and emotional wellbeing (SEWB)

📅 **Workshop dates:**
- 13 November
- 20 November
- 27 November
- 4 December

📍 **Location:** DIMS, 30 Boulter Road, Berrimah

The program aims to help young men build knowledge, confidence and leadership while learning about the impacts of alcohol and other drugs on themselves, their families, their people and their culture.

🔥 DIMS Community BBQ 🔥

What a great afternoon at DIMS on Friday! 🙌🏾

We had a fantastic BBQ bringing together the DIMS team, our participants and members of the Domain Network for a yarn, some good food and plenty of laughs.

It was a great opportunity to come together, build connections and strengthen relationships in a relaxed and supportive environment. These moments of connection are so important for building stronger men, stronger families and stronger communities.

A big thank you to everyone who came along, shared a feed, had a yarn and helped make the day such a positive one. ❤️🖤💛

Homelessness Week Community Link Up Event – 5 August 2026
Today, DIMS staff attended the City of Darwin Libraries Homelessness Week Community Link Up Event 2026, "Homelessness Action Now."
The event provided an opportunity to engage with men experiencing or at risk of homelessness, as well as a range of community service providers. DIMS staff promoted the services and programs offered by the Darwin Indigenous Men's Service, including information about men's wellbeing, healing, counselling, case management, group programs and referral pathways.
Staff spoke with community members about the support available through DIMS and how the organisation can assist men to improve their social and emotional wellbeing, strengthen connections to support services, and work towards positive life outcomes. The event also provided valuable networking opportunities with other service providers, helping to strengthen referral pathways and collaboration to better support vulnerable men in the Darwin community.
