2026 Annual Australia Day Conference, what a great day!
Thank you to all the speakers who gave their time to be part of the event, we all learnt so much in a day. From Stories and Events that Strengthen Communities with Kelsey Branford and Ben Poveda – Alfonso, Leadership Under Pressure and Managing the Unexpected with Reece Kershaw APM and 2026 NT Local Hero Ron Green, Using AI as a Tool with Arjun Sharm from Dreamnalot, an Accessibility Audit panel discussion where we learnt how we can make our events feel more inclusive to guests with accessibility needs and a Mental Health Tool Kit session facilitated by Occupational Therapist Malia Ford.
We also heard from our 2026 NT Australian of the Year who spoke about the importance of volunteering, purpose and community connection and we even managed to fit in two birthday celebrations too!
Thank you to our MC’s “H”and Gracia who did a wonderful job of keeping us to time and facilitating some great discussions.
Thank you so much to our council delegates who attended, we look forward to seeing you all again next year.
