Chiara finished putting together some beautiful platters for our emergency services crew yesterday — and was treated to a lovely surprise visit from her brother, Stefan.

Erica successfully guessed the correct number of elves in our newsletter, and Chiara proudly presented her with her prize.

“My mom told me I’m beautiful.”

And you know what? She’s right.

Beauty isn’t about flawless hair or perfect eyes. Real beauty lives in a genuine smile, in the light that shines through our eyes, in the little gestures that can melt a heart.

Every child carries a world of brightness within. Some people only notice differences, but a mother… she sees beyond them all. She sees courage where others see weakness, and she sees innocence where others see imperfection.

I am beautiful because my smile carries hope, because my little actions spread love. In my mother’s eyes, there is no question: I am her most precious gift.
And maybe that’s the greatest lesson of all — to look at the world through the eyes of love.
