And that’s a wrap on GET JOB READY! 🎉💼

What an amazing turnout! We loved seeing so many young people aged 15–25 come together to learn, connect and get inspired about their future careers! 🚀

A huge thank you to our incredible speaker, Dante St James, for sharing his journey from starting at the bottom to where he is today! 🙌

One thing we learnt? You don’t need to have your whole career figured out from day one! ✨

Your first job might not be your dream job, but it’s where you start building skills, gaining confidence, making connections and discovering what you enjoy.

As Dante shared, life is like a tree 🌳 We all start with a trunk, but as we grow, different opportunities take us down different branches. Careers change, mistakes happen, and sometimes failure is what helps us find our next direction!

At MyNT, we’re all about turning youth priorities into real opportunities, and this was just the beginning! 💚

MyNT at FECCA Conference 2026!

Our Chairperson, Kamal Chohan, represented MyNT at the FECCA Conference 2026 in Canberra as a Youth Scholar, connecting with multicultural leaders and changemakers from across Australia!

Kamal also participated as a session respondent in the Ignite Session, “Pathways: Youth, Work & Safeguarding,” sharing perspectives on youth employment, challenges faced by multicultural communities and opportunities for change.

Our research and survey has given us a clear direction. 💚

After reviewing the evidence and gathering input from young people, MyNT has identified three priority areas for our upcoming programs:

💼 Jobs, study and career pathways
Helping young people access opportunities and confidently navigate employment, training and further study.

🫶 Wellbeing, belonging and safe spaces
Supporting young people experiencing loneliness, exclusion or mental health challenges.

🌏 Settling into life in the Northern Territory
Creating stronger connections, peer support and practical guidance for young people who are new to the NT.

These priorities will guide MyNT’s youth-led activities over the coming year. We’re moving beyond identifying challenges and developing practical responses with young people at the centre.

This is where our next chapter begins. ✨
