In honour of World Lake Day - here's our camera roll after Aquafest 🌀

Earlier this month, Youth from across the Darwin region took over Lake Alexander for a full day of water activities. While everyone enjoyed paddleboarding and canoeing, the Scouts and Venturers challenged themselves with T-rescues and putting their knots to the test by building their own rafts 💥

A massive thank you to every Leader and Volunteer who gave their time and energy to make this day unforgettable 🌟

Happy World Scout Day! 🌏⚜️

Today, Scouts across Australia join millions around the world in celebrating the founding of the Scout Movement — a movement that has inspired young people to lead, serve and make a positive difference for more than a century.

As we celebrate, we also extend our heartfelt thanks to the dedicated Leaders and adult volunteers whose passion, encouragement and commitment help make these opportunities possible for so many young people.

Scouting is about community, and tonight, our Youth are walking in solidarity with every Territorian touched by cancer🎗️

Arafura Rover Unit and 1st Berrimah Venturers are participating in Cancer Council NT Relay for Life Darwin 2026 tonight, walking from sunset all the way to sunrise in support of those affected by cancer. This annual event holds an incredibly special place on the Units calendar, and we are so proud to have Members on the track marking their 9th year of participation.

Every dollar the team raises goes directly to Cancer Council NT to fund vital research, advocacy, and local support services. If you’d like to support the team's massive overnight effort, please click the link to donate 🔗 https://www.relayforlife.org.au/fundraisers/arafuraroverunit

Good luck to all the Rovers and Venturers out on the track tonight 🌟

This week is National NAIDOC Week (5–12 July 2026), celebrating 50 years of recognising the voices, cultures, histories and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

This year's theme, "50 Years of Deadly," honours the Elders, organisers, artists and communities whose strength, leadership and resilience have shaped the NAIDOC movement over the past five decades. It reminds us that NAIDOC Week is not only a celebration, but an opportunity for all Australians to learn, reflect and recognise the enduring contributions of First Nations peoples.
