Dear Members,

Please be informed that the ACS offices in New South Wales, Northern Territory, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria, and Canberra will be closed to celebrate the King's birthday on Monday, 12 June. We shall resume regular operations on Tuesday, 13 June.

Western Australia shall observe the holiday on the fourth Monday of September or the first Monday of October. The date is proclaimed each year by the state’s governor. Queensland celebrates King’s Birthday on the first Monday of October.

Cyber Warriors Wanted! 2023 ADF Cyber Gap Program.

The ADF Cyber Gap ADF Cyber Gap Program applications opened on 1 September. The ADF Cyber Gap Program is a 12-month online program which provides participants with the tools they need to progress their cyber career.

The Program began in 2019 as part of a cyber-resilience and workforce package to bolster the nation’s sovereign cyber workforce capability. Defence is delivering the Program in partnership with Digital Profession and .

ACS was pleased to host the Hon Alister Henskens SC MP last week at our Sydney Tech Hub. Alister is, among other portfolios, the minister for Innovation and Science.

Minister Henskens gave a policy update on tech and science from the NSW government and took a number of questions from our guests.

ACS CEO Rupert Grayston hosted and moderated the event and spoke to the work ACS has been doing in the skills and education space, especially with the NSW government.

ACS thanks the Minister for the opportunity to host him and looks forward to continuing to work with his office on innovation policy in NSW.
