An evening of fun, food, friends and creating awareness around our local disability community.

We are saddened to share the passing of Steve Robinson, a dear friend of the Association and an inspirational member of our community.

Steveโ€™s heart, courage and generosity truly strengthened our community. His actions ripple outward, touching families, volunteers, staff and everyone who met him.

Steveโ€™s journey with MND began in 2021, yet from the outset, he made a conscious choice to direct his energy not only toward his own experience but also to helping others. In the face of immense personal challenge, Steve became a powerful supporter of the Association, a determined advocate and an inspiration to many.

Steve's willingness to share his story has been equally powerful. He let people into his world, offering not only his experience but also his humour, hope and remarkable resilience. Many describe Steve as inspiring, others describe him as unforgettable. Everyone agrees that he was an absolute legend.

We send our condolences to Steveโ€™s wife Rose-Anne, their children, extended family and friends, as we recognise a person whose contribution to the MND community has been outstanding and whose legacy will continue long into the future.

Steveโ€™s family has requested that MNDAWA create a fundraising page in his memory.

๐Ÿ’™ With your support, a person with MND can stay well at home for longer.

๐ŸซFor people with MND, breathing and coughing become harder as the disease progresses. MNDAWA Respiratory Physiotherapist Vivienneโ€™s work is to support those muscles, keep airways clear, reduce fatigue and find every possible opportunity for movement.

The goal? Fewer hospital admissions and better days at home.

Vivienneโ€™s approach is hands-on and personal. From prescribing assistive technologies to empowering families with practical skills and confidence, her work makes an immediate difference.

Your support will directly fund specialist care like Vivienne's - care that changes lives, every single day.

Make a tax-deductible donation before 30 June and make a lasting impact.
