Words from her club; Evatt Calisthenics 💙:

Kellie-Anne is currently and has been the Tinies Team Manager for several years and is also assisting with Sub-Juniors.

Kellie-Anne is the Canteen Coordinator of our Annual Eisteddfod and makes the much talked about Evatt Cup Cakes.

Kellie-Anne’s no-nonsense, common-sense attitude and cheeky sense of humour makes her a delight to be around.

It is with deep sadness that we mourn the passing of Jane Faulder.

Jane was a cherished part of our community for over 50 years, known for her dedication to our sport, her warm spirit, and the way she gave of herself so generously. Across her many roles; performer, volunteer and steadfast supporter, Jane shaped our community with kindness, commitment, and a genuine love for calisthenics. She lifted others up, celebrated their achievements, and brought joy and encouragement wherever she went. Her absence will be felt deeply, and her impact will be remembered with gratitude.

Our thoughts are with her family and loved ones, and with the many of you who counted Jane among your friends. May we hold each other close during this difficult time and honour Jane by carrying forward the warmth and generosity she shared with us all.

As a part of our annual awards, Cali ACT love to recognise the volunteers that make a profound difference to both the state, and their club communities. Introducing Justine Hrstic 🌟

Words from her club; Karilee Calisthenics 💙:

Justine has been a wonderful team manager and a valued member of the Karilee committee for several years, and we are incredibly lucky to have her.

Her excellent organisational skills, positive approach, and genuine enthusiasm for all things Cali make a real difference to our club.

She is always there supporting our coaches, encouraging our dancers, and giving her time so generously — sometimes spending more time at competitions than her own daughter!

Justine, thank you for everything you do for Karilee.

We absolutely love having you in our club, and we are so grateful for your commitment, generosity, and energy.

Extending the biggest of congratulations to Robyn Baker; recipient of this years Volunteer Excellence Award 🌟

A small excerpt from Robyn’s nomination:

Since becoming involved in 2017, Robyn has given her time across an impressive range of roles, including Treasurer, Registrar, Vice President, fundraising coordinator, website coordinator, event volunteer, interstate chaperone, Cali ACT competition announcer and State trophy coordinator. Across every role, Robyn has shown the qualities that make volunteers so valuable: reliability, initiative, kindness, teamwork and a willingness to step forward whenever help is needed.

As Treasurer, her work has improved budgeting, reporting, compliance, fee collection and banking processes, giving the committee greater confidence to make informed decisions for members, families and coaches.

She has also secured and managed grants that have delivered real benefits, including new costumes, classroom dividers, equipment and reduced costs for additional programs.

Just as importantly, Robyn has helped build a stronger club culture. Through fundraising, events and everyday support, she encourages others to get involved, welcomes new volunteers and helps families feel connected to the Karilee community.

Her teamwork is equally impressive. Whether contributing at committee level or jumping in to help backstage, support merchandise, organise events or assist another volunteer, Robyn brings calmness, good humour and care to everything she does.

Robyn has also shown outstanding initiative, stepping in when the club’s website project stalled, learning new skills and coordinating others to deliver a fresh, current website that will support recruitment and communication for years to come.

What stands out most is not only how much Robyn does, but how she does it — with generosity, respect, patience and a genuine commitment to supporting those around her.
Robyn, your contribution has strengthened Karilee operationally, financially and socially. You have made things easier for others, opened opportunities for more people to participate, and truly demonstrated the very best of volunteer service.

A small excerpt from Francis’ nomination:

Frances has been part of Action Calisthenics for more than two decades, completing her Level 1 coaching qualification in 2006 after many years of assisting teams. Since then, she has become a trusted, generous and deeply respected member of the coaching community. Across many roles, including Head Coach, mentor coach and Skills Examiner Frances has consistently given her time, knowledge and care to strengthen not only her own teams, but the wider sport.

What makes Frances exceptional is the way she develops people. She encourages participants to learn, take risks, build confidence and strive for their personal best. Her coaching is practical, thoughtful and inclusive.
