Curtin Primary School P&C Curtin Primary School Parents and Citizens (P&C) Association We need your brain and your experiences to make this a diverse and valuable committee.

The Curtin P&C exists to foster a strong sense of school community among our families, form close ties with the teaching staff of our school, and raise funds to invest back into our school. P&C associations are a feature of nearly all public schools in the ACT. Schools benefit from the support of their P&Cs. The role of the parent association is to:

- Promote the interests of the school and of AC

T public schooling;
Encourage the close collaboration of teaching staff, parents, students and citizens;
- Provide a forum where members can contribute to the development of the goals and policies of the school;
- Concurrently provide a forum where members can contribute to formulation of policies and programmes for ACT public schooling;
- Provide parents with a means of raising and discussing matters of general concern and interest;
- Provide a means by which parent members of the school board keep in touch with parent views, receive input on matters to be decided and report back on decisions taken.

Help needed!

Our wonderful library is bursting with fabulous new books! But before they are placed into the hands of eager bookworms, they need to be covered so they last for years to come.

If you have any time to spare, maybe you could pick up a few books to cover at home or you could spend some time in our calm, light-filled library covering books or helping with other tasks.

Library Manager Karen will provide you with all the tips and tools for covering books. Contact the school and ask to speak to Karen on a Monday, Thursday or Friday.
