Burgmann College is a fully collegiate university residential college for both full-time undergraduate and full-time postgraduate students. The College is situated in the south west corner of the ANU where Sullivan's Creek reaches out to enter Lake Burley Griffin.

What a term for sport!!!!

With the final few games of sport for the year coming to a head, Burgmann came away with some incredible results

As the term comes to a close, it’s hard to forget Inward Bound 2026.

Placing an incredible 4th Burg teams dug deep and fought hard, pushing themselves with everything they had. We couldn’t be prouder of all the runners and their effort, and to all the spectators from Burg who turned up to support. 🏃⛰️🌳

This Friday the whole college piled in Llewellyn Hall to watch IAC dance!! 🕺 💃

In a night of incredible performances, and aggressive cheering that put the other colleges to shame, Burg took out 3rd place in Dance and 2nd place in IAC overall! This is a testament to the huge efforts of the arts team this year. We couldn’t be prouder. 🥈🥈🥈

Wright Hall better watch out next year 👀

Our 🌿 Spring Newsletter 2026 🌿 has landed, and there's a lot to celebrate!

We conferred two new Honorary Fellows, Dr Thérèse Rein and Dr Aunty Matilda House-Williams OAM. We also announced Jennifer Kerr as our 2026 Outstanding Alumni Award recipient, launched our new Strategic Plan, and welcomed a new 1980s Giving Circle working to fund a full-fee Scholarship.

There's also Bill Ranken on the gift his mother made fifty years ago, David Turbayne on what it means to have his name on his old door, our Burgmann Residents' Association's generous $80,000 gift toward a new bus, Common Room upgrades and the Endowment Fund, and updates from residents, as well as all the highlights from our 55th Anniversary Back-to-Burg Weekend.

Please join us in congratulating our 2026 Outstanding Alumni Award recipient, ! 🎓

Jennifer came to Burgmann in 2018 as a C.A.S. Hawker Scholar. Since then: ANU graduate, Grattan Institute researcher, and then an Adviser in the Office of the Prime Minister working on national housing reform, all before turning 25. She is now at Oxford completing a Master of Public Policy.

Last term Burg competed in IAC Choir!! Maxing out the stage with 40 competitors, Burg sang ‘Like a Prayer’ and ‘When we were Young’ to secure 4th place.
