Thank you everyone who supported our fundraising. We raised $684 dollars, which will go towards supporting women veterans in Bundaberg in 2027 with wellbeing activities, commemorative services and of course all the dreaded and expensive 'red tape/must haves' that are required by government agencies for community non-profit groups like ours. 🎉 Fun in Fundraising at the Bundaberg RSL Club! 🎉

Ten of our association members, including those pictured, have been enjoying the fun of fundraising at the Bundaberg RSL Club throughout October, raising funds in support of women veterans.

We still have two more Fridays evenings to go, and we’re looking forward to continuing our fundraising efforts!

A big thank you to the generous Bundaberg RSL Club patrons for supporting our raffles, and to our wonderful members who volunteer their time to attend and help make each raffle a success. Your support is greatly appreciated! 👏💐

Bundy Women Veterans have joined the People First Community Lottery where you can win a huge range of fantastic prizes as well as supporting the women veterans here in Bundaberg. 🌿 What a wonderful week away at Cania Gorge! 🌿

Our members and guests enjoyed a fantastic few days of friendship, fun and relaxation, surrounded by the beautiful scenery of Cania Gorge, near Monto, last week.

The weather couldn’t have been better — beautiful sunny days followed by chilly nights — and the Cania Gorge Tourist Retreat was filled with our happy campers, with campervans, motorhomes, caravans and cabins all occupied.

We kicked things off on the first evening with a lovely welcome on the verandah of one of the cabins, complete with a fun w**e tasting, plenty of tasty snacks and a murder mystery that had everyone putting on their detective hats and silly characters costumes! 🕵️‍♀️🍷

The following day, everyone was free to explore at their own pace, with bush walks and sightseeing trips through the magnificent gorge, taking in the spectacular views and local wildlife. Later, the competitive spirit came out with some fun outdoor team games, followed by a relaxing fireside chat with drinks and nibbles. 🔥

The next few days brought even more fun, including a round of golf for some, a campfire singalong and a trip into Monto for lunch at the local pub — with a little retail therapy thrown in to help support the local economy! 🛍️

It was a wonderful opportunity to step away from our usual routines, relax, have a few laughs and, most importantly, reconnect with the friendship, fellowship and wellbeing of fellow women veterans and their guests. ❤️

A huge thank you to President Jenny Waldron, OAM, for organising such a fabulous getaway, and to all the wonderful helpers who made sure the activities ran smoothly so everyone could have such a great time.

What a memorable week — already looking forward to the next adventure! 🌿🥂😊
