QJCCI event invitation (member-only): What's Ahead for the Australian, Japanese and Global Economy?

Inflation has proved more persistent than expected, interest rates remain elevated, geopolitical tensions and energy shocks continue to reshape the economic outlook, and trade tensions are creating new challenges for businesses and investors. At the same time, there is an extraordinary investment boom in artificial intelligence and technology.

Against this backdrop, on Thursday, October 22 the QJCCI will host Rand Low, Associate Professor of Quantitative Finance at Bond University, to provide an update on the current state of play and outlook for 2026/27, across Australia, Japan and the global economy.

Prior to academia, Rand worked in quantitative research and model risk management for leading global financial institutions including BlackRock (the world's largest asset manager) and Bank of America Merrill Lynch in New York. His research focuses on artificial intelligence, digital assets, financial markets, and global economic trends. A regular media commentator, Rand combines industry experience with academic expertise to provide practical insights into the economic outlook for Australia, Japan, and the global economy.

Generously hosted by QJCCI Premium Member, Bond University, at its new Brisbane office, this event is not to be missed for anyone seeking economic insights amid a rapidly changing global environment.

Attendance is complimentary for QJCCI Members, who are also invited to bring a guest at no charge. A selection of delicious canapés and beverages will also be provided for networking purposes.

Seats are strictly limited for this exclusive QJCCI Member-only event, so please book early via the link below to avoid disappointment. The dress code for this event is business attire.
