🐴 Horse Welfare & Fair Competition 🐴

A reminder to all members that Pony Club Queensland’s medication and prohibited substance rules are in place to protect horse welfare and ensure fair competition. This includes bute.

Always check withholding periods, keep treatment records, and seek veterinary advice when needed.

Should concerns arise regarding the use of prohibited substances, the organising committee reserves the right to conduct testing in accordance with Pony Club and competition regulations. Any testing will be carried out professionally and respectfully.

Together, we can promote safe, fair, and enjoyable competition for all.

It’s a jammed pack couple of months! Entries are now open for the State Tetrathlon in July at West Toowoomba.

Please note the amendment to rule10 which will be in place for the upcoming state championships. The entries have been reopened to allow for riders who may now be eligible.

For those attending the PCQ State 2026 PCQ State Horse Trials Championships in June, please note the class colours. 12 & Under Introductory (80 cm) will have cross country numbers coloured red; PreIntroductory classes will have orange numbers cross country.

Further clarification regarding colours - for this event we will not have seperate colours for 12&U classes. 27 days to go!
